An audiologist that works in an ENT (or other doctors office) or one that has their own clinic? Also did you get a doctor to refer you to the audie or did you self refer? I am just curious!

Personally, my audie has her own clinic and I found her myself. I have seen both doctor referred and self referred audies and from my experiences I like the self referred ones much better. I have also found that audies with their own clinics spend a bit more time with you and get to know you much better. When I saw the audies at my ENT's I would work with a different one each time which was frustrating!

I found my audi on my own and i havent seen an ent in awhile. The audi office i go to is Davidson Hearing Centre and their great! Anddd no goin to the H..i dont like hospitals too much...

I was referred to my audie and I like him so now I am looking for him to sign the paperwork. He have move for a temp while his office is being remodeling.

My new one has his own clinic. I've always used ones with their own clinics...not sure why.

Originally, my audiologist worked for the hearing and speech center at the University of Wyoming (a 2 or 3 hour drive from where I live).. supposedly he was told to leave them (as in he was fired, I'm not sure, I don't know the whole story). Anyway, he came here, and got his own office at a medical clinic (where mostly pregnant women went to for check ups and such) at first. Then moved to another medical clinic; then just last summer, he joined some ENTs and another audiologist and they all moved in together into the new office at a new medical building. When you call to make appointments, you can request which audiologist you want, which is what I do.

When I was in school, I saw the school district's audiologists for all of my earmolds and any ear problems I had, but went to the University of Wyoming audiology for new hearing aids and adjustments. Now, I stay in town for any and all new hearing aids and earmolds, etc, which is real nice. I sure hated having to make the trip to Laramie just for an adjustment.
