I never say that you said "obligate".
You added the word "obligate", which completely changed the meaning of my original statement.
"We are not
obligate to marry, to vote or to drive cars, don´t we?"
Do you mean that it's okay for human to use animals for medical research, testing etc? Is it okay to cause pain for those poor animals, that's because they are only animals which is not same "rights" as human?
I didn't say anything about medical research.
But since you brought it up, let me ask you something. Is it OK to do medical experimentation on humans?
It would be much simple when you has feeling for animals instead of use "materials" as an example to compare human and animal. I defend animal and see animal as my family, not different that's because they are only animal.
When did I say I had no feeling for animals? I think many of my posts prove just the opposite.
People
can care about animals and treat them kindly without believing they are equal to their human family. I loved my cats and dogs but they were never as important as my daughter or grandchildren. I would never, never compare my two grandsons to animals, and I would never, never put the welfare of an animal above the welfare of my grandsons.
Just rabies vaccination?
I thought you know that there're many different types of vaccinations to fit human and animal, not just rabies vaccination?
Of course I know about vaccinations; but if you want to respond to my original post, then please quote it accurately and not change the context of the comparison. It makes no sense if you change the salient points.
Really? I thought you do not against Toddler-harness, don't you?
Again, you're changing the meaning of my contrast and comparison. Dogs are compelled by leash laws to use collars and leashes. Kids are
not compelled by law to use toddler harnesses. It is
required by law for dogs, but it is
voluntary for parents to use toddler harnesses.
That's the difference.
I never said that my children eat cat foods. Can you show me where have I say that my children eats cat foods because I didn't find where I did said that.
I thought you treated your cats and kids equally? They don't eat the same foods? Why not?
cannibalism?
wow interesting, I didn't know that there're legal in your country that human meat is in pet foods...
I did NOT write that human meat is in pet food.
"Your children don't eat meat do they? If animals and people are equal, I guess that would be cannibalism."
You say people and animals are equal.
That means, your kids and the cows that are used for hamburger meat are equal, right?
So, if your kids eat a hamburger, it's like they're eating the meat of an equal being; that's like cannibalism. (Apologies to
Soylent Green.)
Since you brought it up, then I guess it would be equally OK to use human meat in dog food, right? That is, everyone is equal, right? Everyone is potential protein for the food chain.
But if you, your kids, and your cats are vegitarians, that is ethical because no one in your family eats any animal or human meat.
