Does your families or friends think you are so lucky that cant hear from the noise?


For me when I was teenager that my youngest sister was just newborn and got lots cried it make my mom drive crazy or headache and my other families too got drive nuts!!!! or drive crazy!!!! from the noise from kids' yelling,l baby crying, etc etc when it is loud noise something like that and when I hear from the noise then I turned off my hearing aids and didnt hear it like a quiet and then some of my families said I am lucky so I said why???? they said I cant hear the noise it drive them nuts cause they like to quiet without noise. :lol: I dunno why they said I am lucky that cant hear so wont get drive nuts or drive crazy! :lol:
 
well sometime not lucky sometime lucky, my mom say sometime that she wish i can hear alike bird chirp, or anything but she still love me.. there god make me who am i... :)
 
I remmy I went to bar with my mom, and some few families for my birthday. There was so much noise. and my mom said I am lucky cuz I can use ASL. She sometimes cant hear what other ppl saying cuz of the noise. :giggle:
 
I don't feel anything "Lucky" that I'm Deaf.. Nope..

I accept who am I . which I'm very happy that I have wonderful talent artist any kinds draw cartoon and animation.. Yes, I do requires feel noise and to make sure anything happending... My children really loves noise enivorment and doesn't mind at all.. sometimes other hearing people thinks we are dysfunctional family.. Why Thank you..?
I feel pity other people don't know about Deaf Cultures alike... So..

I don't need lucky anything!
beside I'm happy have wonderful 3 Brat pre-teenagers.. :giggle:
 
yes my family always say you are SO lucky you can tune everything out.. grrr.. i said not always.. when i dont have my hearing aid.. i can hear the noisy things like yelling and Loud music.. ahha..

if people talk too loudly or loud music.. can always cause me to have headaCHES.. i just take my hearing aid off.. my family said see u are lu cky u can just turn it off? we cant turn our hearing off?? i said use ear plugs?? they said great idea! lmao.. hehe

now im realized i am lucky cuz my tv is on LOUD.. and tj enjoyed hearing it.. i told him if u kept turning it up loudly.. u will be deaf someday.. he doesnt believe me.. so his problems! lmao.. hehe..
 
same here

but this time they only hear weird noises that i am lucky not to hear it or if i have i would got freak out
and cars driving past our house GRR they hate it

i said to them why did you pick that house for ugh they said nothing and stop complain to me about it LOL
 
sometimes I feel luck due to hearing noises at much lover decibels than hearing people but most of the time, I want to hear everything including some noise :)
 
I have been told so many time that "you're lucky you're deaf, it's so loud in here". That really annoys me. I am tired of hearing people taking their hearing for granted. IF YOU DON"T LIKE THE LOUD NOISES IN A CERTAIN ROOM OR PLACE, WEAR EARPLUGS BUT DON'T TELL ME I AM SO LUCKY. Geez. :ugh2:

Yeah my mom want me to hear but she accept that I am being deaf. when I was young kid that my mom got fed up with me that I wasnt hear it when I have no hearing aids on :lol: :giggle: but she accept that I am being deaf.
 
When I was a teenager, I invited a hearing friend to go camping with my family. We slept outside on the cots cuz the tents were full of people. One morning, my friend say that I am damn lucky--Im like what?? She said that during the nite, 2 cats were fighting and hissing and screaming at each other only 15 feet away from us. She looked over at me and saw that I am :zzz:

Its nice to sleep thru the thunderstorms and other noises. But only worry is not able to hear the fire alarms in motels or other places. :)

My boss at work told me I am lucky because rallies tend to get too noisy and he sometimes have hard time hearing the customers. I said "what can I do??" Oh well. One rally that involved cannonballs and cannon was annoying because every 1/2 hour I could feel the Capitol Building was going to explode. Its like someone is stomping on the floor so hard. Hope they don't have that rally again next year.
 
Lucky to be deaf? Nah.

Even with my hearing aids on and hearing noise constantly, I've learned to just ignore the sounds... even with my hearing aids on. ;)
