9/11? Ok, what about Kosovo?
For them it was hell, for us it was just another headline on the news. 9/11 for us was hell, we'll always remember it in our hearts and tell our grand-children of it, to others? It was just a headline...
Sad isn't it?
The reality of war on your homelands vs seeing it on tv. I want to discuss this. Honestly, what's the purpose of news nowadays? You wake up every morning and the headlines roll "Mother put her baby in microwave to dry it. Tragic story at 10" and you don't even flinch. Have we, as humans became so desensitized to everything because of how much we see it and how much it occurs? Are we not arsed to care anymore because theres just too much crap nowadays?
Edit; I'm trying to overdramaize it by saying people don't flinch. Granted it makes alot of people sick, but afterwards they just move on with their life. I feel I'm over-thinking things again, but if people cared what was happening... they'd take action, right? We're a little lazy aren't we? We have our own lives to worry about with how shitty the world is nowadays, but maybe if we all pitched in at once it'd be easier for everybody.
