I've come to a conculsion that I'm a big procrastinator. I'll hold things off until the very last minute and I would be put under the stress. I really need to break my bad habit of postponing things until too late. I know people are procrastinating at this moment by holding things off, like I'm posting right now instead of reading an article for my class. :dizzy:

I am seeking advices how to stop procrastinate all times? Any of you know what, feel free to put it up to help others.

I wish I could help you, but it is like the blind leading the blind 'cause I'm also a very big procrasinator, too.

I've put off important things too often that I end up trying to get all things done in one big rush.

Yeah, I would not take any advices from a person who is actually procrastinating. That would have made my habit go from bad to worse. Woe is me.

Yea, we need a "Procrastinate Anonymous" group. :Ohno:

For real this time - How to stop it is to force yourself to do the task at hand. Like the Nike slogan "Just Do It" . It is that simple. Like the saying "it takes a lot of work to keep from working" I used to put so much effort into advoiding something. That I could have finished what was supposed to have been done in the first place. Then I started forcing myself to do what was to be done. I found I had a whole lot more time on my hands...

ditto... im just like u.. im a big procrastinator too... which probably is why im so forgetful everytime i go for shopping or something i would have to make 3 trips cuz i forgot uhh say a list... then i forgot my card then well u name it... lol it sucks... and theres a shitload of laundry that im trying to get my butt off pc to do them... no matter how much i scold myself... i most likely wont get them done till just 2 hrs before bedtime o.O

I'm a HUGE procrastinator. :) Agggh...

What I like to do is do a little bit at a time...like if I'm supposed to be cleaning the kitchen, but want to watch something or play a game in the meantime, I'll clean when there's a pause in tv show or when the game's over or I'm stuck at something. This way, by the day's end, I'll have gotten SOMETHING accomplished. ;)

Sometimes I'd forget something to bring with me. I have tendency to forget my bottle of water for to work out at school, that happens when I think of something urgent than my water bottle itself. Sure, I may be a procrastinator, but I have a good habit of being on time. Mission Accomplished, but on the other note I have a tendency to hold off things like doing homework until the last day before due or something. Bad news to add, I hate doing homeworks and it made my problem worse. I'll try not to hope that things will walk way which they won't. I have to realize that I can do those things and I'll be off the hook once I did it.

I do it almost all the time... especially with research paper and reports. I usually end up with an A! :deal:

Buy a calendar. Pocket calender, preferred. Write down what you have to do/deadlines for your homework. Count two days before the deadline-- for that day, you use a big red marker and write down " YOU BETTER DO YOUR FUCKING HOMEWORK NOW!"

It works for me. The psychologically guilt of seeing red marks. :)

I try to get my study habits back on the track. I tend to push off my readings because I have to do my work, I have to meet him, her, yak yak yak... and then on the same day when I was supposed to turn in my homework regarding the readings, I blasted through 150 pages in an hour. and I hadn't a faint idea what it said. :-/

I now carry my homework/books with me so whenever there are breaks at work or when I stop at a red light, I pull it out and read much as I can (two days prior to the deadline). It pays off-- there are a lot of breaks at work with my co-workers gossiping away. ;)

By the deadline, you have like 10 pages left or 5 sentences left to type, and you are done. you can party the night away.

Haha, I do have a calender right next to me, but I have NO GUTS to put on whatsoever. That's my major problem there, I'd forgotten what to put down special events. Ironcially, I do have a good memory so I'd keep it myself and it worked. How weird it is. I started doing my homeworks between classes in 2 hours. What will I be doing for 2 hours? Nothing. I'd kill time by doing homework and it seems to be working. I should be taking classes with 2 hours between from now on :D.
