True, but have to make sure your tree has prenty of water, and not to let it dry out....I learned this from the fire department...I had a real Christmas tree for many years, and not once have ever caught on fire, I take real good care of it.....
 
For any of you who have a fireplace, after Christmas is over you could break up your real tree into pieces and then throw them in your burning fireplace. The smell of the pine will fill up your house. Ahhh it would be so nice for me to do that but too bad I don't have a fireplace.
 
Real x mas tree, but... have to be fake cuz i dont wanna cat play with real tree! *biting my nails* hehehe

Then you can lay them on your mantle or get some thin wire and make yourself a wreath to hang on your door or a table centerpiece.

that´s exactly what I made wreath from real tree to hang my front door... with decoration on it.


Anyway, I rather to have real tree... fresh smelllll... mmmhhh

Also never leave the xmas light on if you are not in the house. Turn it off before leaving the house to do the errand. Watch your light while you are home. Also put the timer on while you are home. Like for example I turned mime on at 4 pm and turn it off at 8 pm. Dont leave it on all day except for xams day!!!!!!! Enjoy it. :D
 
Even though I love the smell of a real tree, I like dealing with the fake ones. I can store it for the following year and it doesnt make as big of a mess with needles and such all over the floor. Plus, I don't like the idea of cutting down a tree just for something as a decoration for a couple of weeks.
 
I like the real tree more smell good but rather not bring real tree in the house or apt so I rather go for fake tree so can use fake tree for a years more save their money :)
 
I have no sense of smell :( So....I just go with the fake tree, it's lot less messy (no falling pine needles!) and it can be used over and over again every year, lol.

Right, I don't leave my christmas lights on when I'm not home...

i have to be careful what kind of real christmas tree i choose cuz of my allergy to frasier fir
