Do you go to thrift shops, consignment stores or other stores, garage sales, etc. that sell already used clothes and other items?

I think it's neat if we take a day to review how much we could save on things that don't really need to spend so much money on. I really like the idea of recycling. So many new toys are made everyday. Where do they end up? Kids grow up so fast that it's recommended by this booklet I have on frugal living to buy used toys that can be cleaned because it's so cheap to buy them used. Kids lose interest so quickly. I saw this cute big doll house. Baby bathtubs, etc. that can cost a huge amount.

I see clothes that are nice to wear plus items such as vacuum cleaners, blender, mower, desks, chairs, etc., etc. that aren't worth paying so much money for...

Yea, I bought used items is game jerseys and game shorts (pro or college players worn them) on eBay, really cool!

I hate it. always went to thrift stores and garage sales with my parents when I was child. but my sons love it, they bought funny clothes for fun. maybe because I was a last child, always got handout clothes and toys. Never got new toys or clothes.

Sure I do! I buy stuffs that are used but I also make sure it is in a good condition to make my money worthwhile. There are several times I've got my hands on some stuffs that are seemingly very new and yet it is quickly rid of. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to get your hands on the used items as long as it is still in order. Also I think the used items has a character to it than the brand new items. Also, Flea Markets are one of the thought that can be done because there are stuffs that can be sold at a very cheap price but has some good quality to it. Sometime you're lucky to get things that you can get at Flea Markets than getting it at the Malls.

Loves it, especially rare and hard to find making my day!!

Sometimes I buy what I like, I can change eg button, or add new color to make it look big different. I buy seconds and I can repair it - no-one will notice it!

I have seen a few people in the neighborhood throw out good stuff when they could donate it instead. What good is good stuff in the landfills when someone can use it? Shame on them. My brother found me a bike thrown out that was new, but it was put together wrong. LOL. Only it has a little rust because it was in the rain, but who cares? It cost me nothing! He also found another bike from a nearby neighbor. Now, he doesn't want it, so he'll donate it. The bike is good. What good is it in the landfill?!

I love thrift stores!!!!! I used to work in one... but I love to buy used items.. ya can say I'm cheap!!

I buy used books, xbox games, used cars, and sometimes I get free clothes.

If I enter a pawn shop and find a bargain that is irrestible, I will buy it I bought a used 20" tv and a xbox that way.

I think it's better to buy used cars in good condition. What's the point in wasting so much money especially when it loses value fast right when you get it on the road? Plus the planet is overfilling with cars. They make millions of models every year. I wish they'd wait to make new ones every couple of years. Take time to research and develop the best cars.
