I remember the Clinton era and it was one of the best eras I ever been under. Economy was amazing. We had more wealth than ever. We had million more jobs. When Clinton left office, we were left with a surplus.

And now Bush is leaving with MASSIVE DEFICIT. Jobs went down. The rich gets more money and the middle class is left with less money to met their needs.

Are people really stupid that if they elect McCain, they will repeat the Bush economics and that McCain has repeatedly said he does NOT UNDERSTAND economics at all.

Obama understands economics well. He understands that if we go back to Clinton economics, we'll get better and create millions of jobs and we'll become more independent and more powerful.

:werd:

Clinton was an awesome President -- one of the best America has ever had.

So why didn't he stay in power? Why haven't you all chosen Hilary clinton instead of Obama?

I wouldn't know what it was like under Clinton but if I remember rightly he only stayed one term. When I jokingly told a friend of mine about him "making love not war" he corrected me. He said Clinton engaged in a bit of both.

Although I wouldn't know about these things since I'm on the other side of the pond. I get the feeling though, that this fact wouldn't bother so many people if I was For Obama instead of against him.

Because of our beloved Constitution - 2 terms maximum. And he ran for 2 terms. He wasn't that awesome but he was good. Too liberal for my taste. And why no Hillary? because we have enough of "legacy." 4 years of GHB... 8 years of Clinton... 8 years of Bush.... and another 4/8 years of Hillary Clinton? No more. Time for a person of different last name to take a helm for a fresh new look.

Actually, Bill Clinton served two full terms -- not one.

There are two reasons why Hillary lost the Presidential nomination to Barack Obama:

1. Hillary represented "old school" politics while Obama represented "change" (even though they were basically the same on the main issues).

2. Hillary never had the likeability factor going for her while Obama did -- in a phenomenal way.

As for Hillary Clinton, I chose her over Obama, but unfortunately, she lost the Presidential nomination. :(

I remember there're not very much arger over Clinton era.. not very much...

but famous and funny jokes over Clinton and Monica in Oval office... :giggle:

We (Europeans) don't care about Clinton and Monica's scandal but said that it suppose be between wife and husband, not public... Oh well...

If the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal was non-existent, he would be one of the best Presidents ever along with Ronnie Reagan, JFK, Lincoln, FDR, and Teddy Roosevelt.

Richard Nixon would be in my choice of ten best Presidents if the Watergate scandal did not occur. He made some huge significant contributions such as creating EPA, creating a diplomatic relation with Communist China, signing a few nuclear agreements with Soviet Union, DEA and others to his country.

Clinton is too liberal? No I do not think so. I rather say he is a liberal with some conservative streaks.

1. The First attack at the WTC

2. Somalia

3. Whitewater Gate

4. Impeachment hearings

5. " I did not have sex with that woman. "

The list can go on....

Granted, the economy was good yet morally he wasn't upholding good morals of this country.

Yes, I remember Clinton have sex with Monica. That's hot.

Because Hillary is married to Bill. That doesn't mean that she is Bill. And she did not win the nomination because the American public believed that Obama was the better candidate. It really is quite simple.

And quite frankly, I don't care who the man slept with. That doesn't affect me one iota. What did affect me were his policies and the way he ran this country. And those effects were largely positive.

He wasn't elected to uphold the sexual morays of the country. He was elected to run it.

No, she didn't.

( I love a good debate with ya. :) )

Remember that he was elected to represent us to the world and to uphold the morals of the Oval office......

Canada care because they able to mock to US that Clinton's time.

And, while he was in the Oval office, he upheld what he believed to be the morals of this country. Given the number of cases of extra-marital affairs that occur in this country every year, I'd say he did just that. People only got indignant to deflect guilt from themselves.:giggle:

If we were all as moral as we would like to believe we are, we would have also been asking why it was Monica Lewinsky didn't apologize to Hilary Clinton, knowing all the while that the man had a wife.

I do miss the Big Dog's era. It was a wonderful time especially when the economy was going great. Clinton did keep the budget balanced and produced a surplus compared to the Bushit era deficits. Bill is just human especially when it came to the Monica affair. If he had been honest about it in the first place, he wouldnt have been impeached.

I can easy compare how better the Clinton era to the Bush era is how my health insurance been costing me. In 1996 I only paid $15 every 2 weeks for full coverage. Now it's 2008, my premiums is a whopping $100 every 2 weeks. My raises during 1996-2000 did keep up with inflation compared to nowadays. Now that's so ass-backwards.

and oh BTW I didnt support Hillary during the primaries because of what I have seen with the Bushit I and II presidencies. I felt it was time for someone different to come along and there Obama was so I've been supporting him since then. Last night I was happy to see the Big Dog and Obama together at the Fla rally after the 30 minute commercial. Hope Obama will ask Clinton to advise him on everything he needs to know.

<--Looking forward to the Obama Presidency November 5th!
