Divorce and re-marriage displeases God

So, you're saying that it's ok for the husband to cheat on his wife that would be for worse?

And it's ok to abuse your wife. that would be worse?...

Is that what you're trying to say as better and for worse?...

I don't make this rules, its written in the bible.
Its for everyone to work it out together.

I never understand the bible anyways. Some of their verse are just hard to understand what exactly they are saying. It's like "english please". But, Roadrunner have explained things to me in a different way better.

Yes, same with me, have you heard of the Bible for the Deaf? Mine is, and it is so easy to read and make sense better.

It's called "The Holy Bible, English Version for the Deaf", translated from the original languages.

I am sure you will love this book.

No, I haven't, But Thanks I will find that book. ;)

But there more to what it say in the Bible....I'll wait for Roadrunner to say this cause he know more than I do....

Beside I believe in marriage for better and for worse but I'm not going to live for the rest of my life being abuse in front of my children and let them live like this for the rest of their lives or waiting to be killed and leaving my children with no mom?...

I don't think I want to live like that and beside there are alot of people who wouldn't either and God know what in my heart and knows what I've been thru....I don't believe on minute that I will be send to hell for divorcing my abustive husband and I don't believe that I will be send to hell to be remarried again....

Everyone believe in it differently and Ill leave that up to God to make that judgement .... ;)

That's all I want to say on this thread...

I am a member of an independent Baptist church.

Some Baptist preachers perform weddings for divorced people, and some do not. Our pastor does not perform weddings for divorced people.

 I hear ya! I read the New American Standard Bible, but started out with the King James Version, and I was so lost. :giggle:

Some have already suggested some good versions. Try several and see which one you like. :)

No one is "sent" to hell for any particular sin except for the sin of rejecting Jesus Christ as Savior. All sins are forgiven under the blood of Jesus, including the sin of divorce and remarriage.

That's Wonderful !
That means she will NOT go to the Hell
if she happen to get re-married as long as she believes
and accepts Jesus. That's it :)

The woman can leave the man for her safety; she just can't remarry.

Yes she can remarry.

God and Jesus never say that she should not remarry.

Did you know that Christians also divorced and remarried? Yes, they are.

Sure, God/Jesus hate divorce but they love divorce people.

Cheri said:
So, They only allow to be married once?

No, they can remarry.

See my response post to Reba.

God/Jesus never say that they allow to be married once... Did God allowed men to have more than one wife? Example about Jakob have alot of children accord his 2 wives, and 2 maidservants.

Yes, I know that Bible shows, a man should have only one wife but they do not say that divorcing and re-marry are not allow but different reglious believers.

I know that the Roman Catholic Church approve of only one marriage, period. They will only allow a couple to re-marry in their church as long they had their previous marriages annulled.

Though it seems like they don't allow people to re-marry at the Baptist churches either since Reba is one. Reba, correct me if I'm mistaken on what religion you are involved with.

True, Roman Catholic approve only one marriage in the church. They would not accept divorce people in the church... They go to register office instead of go to Roman Catholic church if they want remarry.

It´s what my parents choose for me...

That´s why I ignore Roman Catholic´s beliefs-

I am not for kind of reglious but God and Jesus and bible.
