Hello all!

Are you deocrating for Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, New Year et cetera?

I am not big on the holidays... although I enjoyed Chinese New Year and a friend's version of Yule (she was a neopagan.)

Christmas is pretty simple... good food, prezzies... no decor since I am not a big fan of symbolism. Although I got a reindeer costume for my tegu last year... I will need to see if it fits the ferret. :)

I don't decorate anything except a Christmas wreath. It's at my front door.

I am waiting to see the Patriot christmas tree soon by our fellow Patriot Restless_heart:)

I grew up in a non religious Jewish household. We did Hannukah with friends. My husband's family is Catholic. We have from the 1950's a lighted plastic Santa,@enguin,and Drummer Boy. They stand in front of our house and light the night in Dec.

Due to MIL's fascination with anything Christmas, we have our 2 lots covered with Christmas decorations that have both religious and non-religious tones. We have also decorated the whole house including the 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dinings and living room as well as the hallways.

Love to decorate for the holidays, inside and out.....Santa and his reindeer are gonna go up on our roof this year! But, I'm not the one who's gonna get it up there, my boys will do that.

I had to put up my Christmas tree, decorations and lights for all windows today because so many of my neighbors had put up all their Christmas decorations right after Thanksgiving, I was the only one on this block who hasn't put up any Christmas decorations. How embarrassing.

The only decorating we've done so far is getting our lights up in the front. We just got our Christmas tree and we're decorating that tomorrow. Next weekend we're going to do the indoor decorations.

I already had the Christmas lights on the eaves on our house from last year and I put the wreath with the red lights in front of the house today. I had already put one decoration and a Christmas tree up all light and decorated. I plan to trim the decorations in the hallway and kitchen tomorrow. I just love the Christmas spirit, but, yike, it cost a lot of money to buy gifts or food because I don't have that much. Recession is getting to us really bad this year. :(

I already decorated Xmas decorations around my house, I did it the day after Thanksgiving.... :) The lights is up, the Xmas Tree is up and decorated, Xmas stuff is around the house, Xmas books is on the coffee table. So yep I'm ready for Xmas.

I normally don't decorate for Xmas but this year I decided to put out a wreath and a xmas tree in my living room. It's modset compared to my parents' house. I'm celebrating the fact I won't be in the hosipital this xmas.

I'm keeping it low-key this year. I have a couple of small rotating optic-fiber trees that I place in each room, along with a palm wreath on the front door. Sometimes I will listen to classic Christmas music to complete the overall feel. It suits me nice. :)
