I have the Verizon VX 6800. It's a pda phone with a slide-open qwerty keyboard. It's from Verizon, and the data & text-only plan for deaf is expensive, but the phone is great. Has touch screen, Windows Mobile platform, Office, expansion slot for micro SD card. Critics said its only drawback was weak volume...Perfect for deaf!

If I were you, I would pick the BB bold. It looks like a good choice.

That's great about you are happy with this phone, new HTC Touch Pro will release to Verizon soon.

Yup, I know about plan is expensive when compare to att and sprint but better than nothing, even when you live in somewhere that EVDO offered by Verizon and no 3G by att, that's way to find deal. Verizon has more wider 3G coverage than att and Sprint, usually EVDO is common in medium/small town and populous rural area.

UMTS, HSPDA and EVDO are part of 3G, require 348 kbps or above to be classified as 3G.

I had tried VX 6800 at store and don't like it because of 64 MB RAM, not enough for WM6.

Wow, I speak English, French, a smattering of other Romance and Semitic languages, know PSE, ASL, and Morse Code, but definitely not "techno-geek". You know your stuff!

I voted BB BOLD, because it has everything!

@ ATT store, I played with bold for 30 mins.. I like wow.. you can see bold running full html like pc... but i admit you that iphone/ipod touch 's safari is king of mobile browsers!

Same thing goes for the Storm. I even had it running AD while I was at work. Full html rocks!

Looks like the BB bold and storm uses the same BB OS, since they both use the same web browser, same applications, etc. The difference is the screen and features of the phone itself.

Exact details, I correct you! Especially they have little different design icons. ;)

Last thing: I actually had heard the rumors that Blackberry will have another new device which will have physcial keyboard and touch screen in one blackberry like treo, it will be in 2009 coming soon.

Any reviews on BB Storm? The only feature applying to me is therthing(Blackberry as modem for laptops) Does anyone know if it support therthing? Which company had BB Storm? Verzion? Verzion TAP still is way expensive. I was hoping Sprint would have it one day. They support deaf communtiy.

Check the reviews on youtube or google "blackberry storm reviews" :)

Still doesn't satisfy me enough. I want from real owner, real review. If anyone have one, I would like to hear it.

If you want the real review, go to the store and try the demo BB Storm. :) That's the best opinion you could get.

I will see demo BB Storm at Verizon store . Monthly charge is $60. Suppose to discount plan price for data only like AT&T TAP.

^^ AT&T do not have TAP for Blackberry, which they only offer $30 a month for data plus extra charges for text which is like $20 a month for unlimited.

I just tried out BB Storm yesterday. I wasn't pleased with it although I like its spec and functions. I thought that pressing down (it makes mouse-clicking feel) was very odd. I'll be keeping my BB Pearl 8130. It's simple, functional, and small for my needs.

Ask sablescort! He is the owner of the BB Storm.

After my 1st weekend with the Storm...It's quite a religious experience considering the Storm is my 1st BB. The touchscreen does indeed click like mouse when typing on landscape or portrait mode. The accelerometer's a bit laggy, but I think RIM will have a patch to fix it. Taking pics on it was more awesome kicking both my EnV and the Sony Cybershot DSC-S650 cameras with 3.2 mp.

Apps designed especially for Storm will be out in a while esp Viigo. The 8GB MicroSD card is already included and I had no problem transferring my collection of old ephemera movies that I have on a 4GB MemStick Pro Duo that I kept from my old PSP.

Everyone who saw and handled my Storm were pretty much impressed at what it can do. Even my sister now wants to go out and dump her cell for a Storm lol. (My family are pretty heavy Verizon fans :) )

When I have a chance I'll make a video of the Storm in action and upload it to youtube for all to see it.

Will check the storm out when it is in store on my side. Bring in the video sablescort!
