Deaf students to sign and sing along Alicia Keys

On February's Super Bowl 150 students from Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind will accompany Award-winning R&B singer, Alicia Keys, while she sings "America the Beautiful" which will be watched by an estimated 150 million people in the US.

Alicia Keys is reported as saying "I'm very excited to be playing at the Super Bowl for the first time, especially because I will be singing a song made famous by an artist I admire, miss and respect, Ray Charles, along with the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind." The students will sign along with Keys as she sings at the Super Bowl.

The late Ray Charles attended the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind as a blind child in 1937. There he developed his great gift of music.

When is the Superbowl?? I don't watch sports, but I watch Superbowl for the commercials and half-time show. My mom thought it was the last Sunday of January. And the article says February??

Roadrunner and I sure will watch the superbowl together and Thanks for letting us know about this, looking forwarding seeing her sing! ;)

She sure has beautiful music and is a great singer, so I know who you're talking about!
 
cool, i heard its on feb 6th.... i'm not sure if its exact right date though.

i thought it would be at halftime at superbowl not pregame thing... now i found out it was pregame thing and i missed it

never mind i saw it too... i thought i missed it but i didnt realize it was RIGHT before the game... ur right.. its absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! sooo cool!!!!!!!!!!

I had the game on, but was putzing around in the kitchen fussing with getting my snacks and a drink, and I missed it.

Oh well. :(

call the FOX channel and request a copy.. i believe it cost money.. eventhough.. try :D
 
those kids are SURE LUCKY to watch the entire superbowl game :shock: heard each tickets on way high above cost $1,000 :eek: and closer cost $10,000 :eek2:
 
I saw them and that was sooo awesome to see that. It made me smile :D. It also made me think :naughty: about Alicia Keys. :giggle:

I did not see it either. I missed that part. Damn !! I was doing other errands to do in other room. I may missed that during half time. :(
 
OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA i saw it and NEWS too!!! i cant believe what i saw.. it SOOO WONDERFUL!
 
I watched it yesterday, she is soo beautiful and the children did great, yesss I did had a few watery tears LOL, It made me so happy to see disablity children being involved in this, and the song she sang was beautiful!!! I should say it was one of the best superbowl I've ever seen!!!!!...I hope they do this again next year! :)

And oh, I thought the children signs were beautiful with that song she sang!
