Anyone's going? Just wondering :)

There are deaf cruises for 2005, 2006, and 2007, but I believe tweetybird refers to Freedom Cruise 2007 for 7 days in Oct/Nov on a new and large ship called Freedom of the Seas.

I'm still working out the details for 2007, but I do want to go! :)

Yes, I'm going... :D

Liza, Have you done booked it yet?

Nope, I still need to get some questions answered by Tab first regarding how I can make payments. I'll PM you :)

Warning !!!!!! BE CAREFUL TO PICK WHOM YOU GO WITH!

First time, I have been almost ripped off from Deaf freedom 2007...which I'm going to spend almost $6,000 for my family! :fu2: ! It will be my first time on Cruise! I decided to wait then I went travel agency to take advice how to protect myself and whom to trust.

They suggested me to go www.cruising.org and check Find a CLIA affiliated travel agent... I input Deaf freedom 2007's zip code that they promotion.. and found.. there is NONE! :wtf:

Then I checked one of www.deafcruise.com and input deafcruise.com's zip code there is one of them. Oddly, I contact person that works under deafcruise.com and I took extra verification procedure and find out information is valid!

I researched about CLIA and I learned that if company that has CLIA affiliated do have BOND insurance.. in case if travel agency went out of business, then my money is PROTECTED and REFUND 100%. If travel agency doesn't have CLIA affiliated. then you LOSE everything!

I rather to go with www.deafcruise.com  they do have CLIA affiilated. To ease my worries!

PM me if you wanted to know how I find out.

The All Deaf Cruise will take place on October 28, 2007 on the biggest cruise ship in the world - The Freedom of the Seas! We will call this cruise "Deaf Freedom Cruise 2007!" This ship is amazing! With new technology, they believe our sidekicks will work on this ship, and all cabins have flat screen TV's! The Freedom is not finished being built. It sails for first time June 2006 and is booked almost sold out the whole summer of 2006.
Royal Caribbean is doing their best by:
1. Providing interpreters on ship and for island tours.
2. Helping us schedule deaf entertainment (talked to Ken Glickman & Deafywood and waiting to hear back from many other deaf performers).
3. Giving us biggest, newest ship!
4. Giving us almost 2 and a half years to make payments so easy to afford for all!

If we do not get deposits on rooms fast, then they will sell cabins to hearing. Tell everyone you know, and let's make All Deaf Cruise a Success!
For the all deaf cruise we have to prove YOU (deaf, hard of hearing, and their guests) want to do this.

Even though the advertisement says you can make these deposits of a certain amount (either $50 or $500)... I was asked to pay at least $450 per person as a deposit. I don't think I'll be going now. Bad timing for such an amount of money.

:dunno:

Also, y'all should ask if unlimited drinks all day are included with the cruise price. I saw the cruise company usually treats that as a separate fee from the cruise price you're paying for a cabin.

I'm not going on a deaf cruise. I just cannot imagine myself being stuck with supposedly full of deaf people for a week-long or so. :ugh:

Hi,
I am looking for deaf cruise......Ireland,Scotland,and England for future? I want to go. Do you have any idea.
