Court of public opinion looms large in George Zimmerman murder trial

Wirelessly posted

What a shocker! He had a gun on him following a kid around.
Just because someone is wearing a holstered gun doesn't mean they leave the house intended to follow and shoot someone. Most (99.999%) of people wearing a gun hope and pray that they never have to use it against another person.

maybe I think he fell down. It was rainy and slippery at that time.

or maybe Trayvon did punch him and it was in defense because as witness testified - Zimmerman threw the first punch.
If Zimmerman threw the first (or any) punch, how come there were no scrapes on his knuckles or on Martin's face? Also, does it make sense for a smaller guy to take a swing at a taller guy?

Big or small, he still a kid, a minor. Zimmerman should have been the bigger person and left it to the law enforcement.
Did Zimmerman know that Martin was a minor?

Neighborhood Watch founder and sheriffs agreed that Zimmerman made an extremely poor choice.
Yes, he should have observed from a distance unless he saw the suspicious person actually attack someone. (Which didn't happen.)

What do you mean save an innocent man ?? Zimmerman is not going to get the death sentence if found guilty . And an innocent kid has lost his life.
TM stood his ground too as he felt threaten by GZ stalking and profiling him.

And?

You can reach and struggle for a gun without leaving fingerprints.

....And......Florida Department of Law Enforcement analyst Amy Siewert also testified that tearing and residue on Martin’s clothing showed the gun was directly against him when it fired.

So...as some have said that "Zimmerman chased Trayvon and shot him down in cold blood"....

then he would have most likely punched/pushed Trayvon in the upper body instead of his face

 Even if he did know about Stand Your Ground and police jargon, how would that help him pass a polygraph test? They use "yes" and "no" questions.

it wasn't a polygraph. it was a voice stress analysis test. the questions were vague and broad... which leads to false positive.

0.1% of people were hoping for some violence.

Which makes her question even more relevant.

Not relevant. GZs actions and willingness speak to his innocence.

ok. how uninteresting. not interested in your "expert" opinion. will wait for further developments to resume tomorrow.

ah looks like there was a bit of a development today.

George Zimmerman How long will defense go? - OrlandoSentinel.com
On Thursday morning television, legal analysts highlighted how Zimmerman didn't tell the truth, in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, about knowing nothing about stand your ground law. Capt. Alexis Carter testified that he taught Zimmerman about the law at Seminole State College.

"The prosecution can say to jurors you can't believe him [Zimmerman]," Jack Ford said on "CBS This Morning."

On NBC's "Today," Lisa Bloom said Zimmerman appears to be caught in "an out and out lie" in the "Hannity" interview. "This is something the prosecution can argue in closing argument," Bloom said. "You know what, he was educated enough in the law of self-defense to concoct a story right at the time of this shooting and give it to the police and stick to that story that it was self-defense because he knew that could exonerate him."

On ABC's "Good Morning America," Brooklyn prosecutor Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi said the prosecution made progress with Carter's testimony and Zimmerman's statement on "Hannity." "It goes toward why is he [Zimmerman] making those things up? Why is he embellishing?" Nicolazzi asked. "Maybe because he realizes, and I think that to be true, that he went too far."

Meh, that is not really a "development." That is a few folks giving opinion. I don't think Zimmerman's credibility is really even an issue. 2 people saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman and Zimmerman's injuries are obvious. All that is necessary here is reasonable doubt. It could be (as others suggested) that GZ was referring to lack of knowledge about court proceedings foe SYG. He has 2 cops that testified that they felt he was honest. *shrug*

GZ lied to his friend about he and TM fighting over his gun as TM DNA or fingerprints where NOT found on GZ gun. And GZ DNA was found under TM hoodie so GZ had to had a hold of TM head or face.
Didn't you know that forensic scientists have different fields? One works on clothings. Another one works on DNA and another one works on fingerprints.

The one who worked on fingerprints testified that she couldn't find TM's and GZ's fingerprints on the gun. She said that the fingerprints were smeared because it was raining that night.

Why would he do that? That kind of action usually just aggravates the other person more.

that's what altercation is. beside - he already aggravated the situation by pursuing him.
