I dont think a woman should. It should be anchor and co anchor. Man and a woman together. Heres who should replace dan rather.

nothing wrong with a female being the lead anchor and i SUPPORT that -- if i hear of a female anchor chosen for the position of lead anchor i would congratulate her

Connie Chung or other female achors would be well qualified. This is 2004.

Actually I think a female/male combo would work great for that. Thats not a knock on women at all. I think a man and woman with great chemistry would be a great addition to CBS (note the chemistry part).

I would disagree with Connie Chung...not one of my favorites at all :(
 
Really, I don't care. I never watch CBS News. It doesn't matter who anchors their news; you can't have "CBS" without the "BS".

Meg, Please re-read what Raven said.
He is NOT anti-woman himself. He like to have
BOTH a man and a woman together
on an anchor. Period. You can NOT tell him
"don't come back with anti-woman remarks"
or whatever because this is a freedom of speech here.
 
Connie Chung is quite manipulative when it come to interviews. She'll try any dirty tricks to get some answers out of you.

They can do better than Connie Chung.

Agreed. I was just about to make that point. I do not think Connie Chung is, herself, qualified to take over as an evening news anchor. In fact, I think she's already tried that, and it didn't work. Therefore, let someone else fill that post.

on the new anchor together sharing short stories
around the world... Blah, blah :) :)
 
How about saying that we want a PERSON to do the job?
That way it won't be sexist.

If a woman was up for the job, we would say, Well, she is a good-looking broad but I don't like her, blah blah.
If it is a guy, no biggie, unless he did something wrong, then for Godsake let's crucify him here till it gets into our heads, you do NOT mess up mediawise, George is our KING, dammit.

In case you dont know who Uma Pemmaraju is. Shes on foxnews everytime theres a breaking news alert.
