If you go strictly by serving size (8 oz) these numbers are pretty similar between the 100% apple juice and the soda. There are obvious benefits from the apple juice, since it contains vitamin C. However, it does not look like a much better choice.
Yep, I get ya. The point I was trying to make is the overall drink by volume - I feel that a lot of Americans are guilty by drinking until we're no longer thirsty, rather than controlling our amounts.
There was also the sucrose/fructose aspect to it in the drinks (posted that earlier in #89 and the one before) - the apple juice is essentially half the fructose amount contained in the soda if we are talking amount of fructose intake. The glucose intake should be good and normal. If we just talk any sugar intake, yeah, it is the same. But if we talk what type of sugar intake, it's a little something else.


But not as interesting as bright green poop, thank goodness!
