See, the Nazi flag and statues are banned in Germany and yet they don't ban the history of Nazi. They are everywhere in books, movies and museums for people who want to know about the history. Jews know that.

I grew up in Germany... raised by a holocaust survivor.... hate to brake it to you... but Germany tried to sweep it under a rug.... try again... for a long time Germany tried to act like it did not exist... or like a dirty secret by the time I came about...

The reasoning is slavery wasnt the main.cause of the flag comming into bieng, or was the main motive of the thousands upon thousands of nornoal folk who diead under it during the cival war..
Slave ships never flew.it, they sailed under the star and stripes.
Slavery existed longer under the star and stripes then it did under the confederate one
So on..
Considering how much genocide and conquest has been inflicted by those msrching under the stars and stripes, if we accept the confederate flag only as a rwcist symbol then we must also accept the stars and stripes as an imperial, racist symbol of genocide and conquest.
Both are true.
But both are not the entire story,nor the entire meaning of each flag.
Im an outsider in this fight...to me its just flag, its never been a part of my history or culture, so i have no bone in the fight or deep love of it..but if i was from the south,and grew up with it as my flag and part of my culture, and history, id be more involved in saving it..the first time i remember even seeing it was as a kid watching dukes of hazard, and a cousin of mine had lynnard skynard poster which had that flag that said something like,,,the final rebels, or something like that with them standing infront of it...
More cultural then racist..

You dont really see it up here thats for sure..and though im a canadian im not a canuck...there is a.difference..we have our own strange bunch,,who fly the union jack,march to british solder music, and have wee crowns on all their houses....with the letters UEL...on their homes, and even on their gov issued id...so on and go on about saving the queen, and the mechinations of envious yanks looking to loot the dominion...and still.believe were part of an empire..(rolls eyes)...

This discussion actually points to one way... why is it that almost everyone is saying slavery caused to civil war?
Is it that everyone failed basic history? No, schools just hut slavery and ledt the rest alone.
Currently, schools are also changing how history is taught yet again... but now taking out the actual motives of our founding fathers... wording things to take away the belief that the people should govern themselves and have smaller government ... instead making them and many of our presidents in the past to come off as socialist... changes here and there... nothing too obvious but enough to encourage the next generation to be even happier sheep and lose the American spirit...

The Confederate flag did NOT cause the murders of the Emanuel 9.

The killer was also pictured wearing neo-Nazi shirts, and I've seen nothing that blames the neo-Nazis for the shooting.

The killer wears a distinctive bowl haircut but no one blames his bad hair day for the shooting.

No one person or thing "made" a young man become a murderer. His hatred came from inside him.

Wow, I didn't realize the fact that I like my state's governor had that much impact on anyone else.

I have no problem with removing the flag from the Statehouse grounds.

I do have a problem with people going nuts and wanting to remove the Confederate flag design from museums, monuments, cemeteries, clothing, cars, toys etc. I think it's ridiculous to take TV programs off the air, modify historically-based computer games, and taking other over-reaction actions. If anything, it's creating an even more defensive stance by flag supporters.

The flag should NOT be removed from Fort Sumter.
