Cloverfield

Yes, I rented it and film was terrible awful. I was sick of it.

I agree with Grummer. I already know about budget & profit.

I dislike tech of film "The Bourne" because too much shake as hand-held camera. Of course look cool fight, smart move and escape.

I would not say Cloverfield is terrible awful... Just careful to think what is best to say.... the story is not great but excellent special effect as real life. I would say... wow nice special effect in low budget. Compare to Harry Potter or Spiderman or Hulk's special effect & budget. I would choice best special effect on Cloverfield. Compare to Japanese film made "Godzilla" special effect. Look cheap & fake as toy.

Remember... "The Blair Witch Project" was low budget but huge profit $$$. I am not sure to remember how much spend film made something like $40,000. They earned over $150 millions.

My personal, I never see "The Blair Witch Project".
We saw Cloverfield at threater. My son works at Threater. He told me that some people threw up at threater.

I know Cloverfield had some made mistake... I do not want spoil. Let you see and what you will think something not correct.

My friend almost vomited a couple of times when we watched it in the theater. She is prone to have motion sickness.

The movie production companies should advise moviegoers in advance like a warning sign on their movie posters.

A lot of theaters already posted warnings. The theater that my friend and I went to for this movie had a similar sign too.

Cloverfield = Motion Sickness

$40,000 to make Blair witch project, and reaping an extraordinary profit of $150,000,000 that is extremely impresive, way even better then they Did with Cloverfield, however i still stand to thnk Cloverfield is hugely successful because when considering the percentage of cost and overall profit made, they still managed to do better they did with Spiderman 3 which costed $258,000,000 !!

The point id like to say, it is very very difficult to make science fiction film on a budget, Cloverfield is proof that it didnt need to exceed 200 million, or 100 million or even hell, 25 million. Adding to what I have said before, I doubt very much anyone would be able to better the feat of this scale, cost, effects, profits, (sure a few flaw-but to me and lots of people its neglectable) which also proves another point science fiction film is extremely expensive to make, no matter what short cuts you make, argueably there's probably no short cuts. the mainstream blockbuster sci-fi film such as Spiderman3 or the Star Wars sagas (new and old versions)were made as fuelled by greed).
Surely Blair Witch was done on alot smaller scale of initial cost but there was not need for eye-candy and stunts so they could.

I like Cloverfield. I find is interest that it's new Godzille version.

For me, no motion sickness or headaches . . . just disgust at myself for spending $18 on a video that my girlfriend's 14-year-old grandson can do better with his camera. Cloverfield is just another ripoff.

Will that boy can clam down while there is monster around in freak scene? I don't think so.

It just a new way of visual to capture. I guess some of them don't understand.

Ha ha ha, I understand perfectly. It's nothing "new" at all. Clumsy amateurs have been making awful home movies way back when.

All it took was enough cash to buy a movie camera, then came Super 8, then VHS, then better and better cameras . . . but the same old clumsy amateur cameraman.

Even Ed Wood made better movies than Cloverfield.

I rented Cloverfield a couple weeks ago, I had no issues with the jumpy picture, no motion sickness. The movie itself was alright, not too bad with the way it went, but also nothing special.

I just bought and watched it, gotta love it but wish... authentic and purplecatty should be in this film.
