closed captions dexter second season

cannot get cc to work on paramount - dexter 2nd season even thiugh it is supposed to be there - anyone have an idea on how to make it work? cc works on other dvd's.

Can you maybe turn them on for your tv, instead of trying to through the dvd? I know my tv gets stuck in what is called "display mode" like when they have them on show in stores, and the cc automatically come on. When I play a movie, the cc come on whether I want them or not, and I had to figure out weird ways to turn them off. :giggle: I have a lot of fun with my tv...

Are you sure it's supposed to be closed captioned? Some DVDs don't have closed captioning, but subtitles or SDH instead.
 
sometimes tv series dvd do not have subtitles but have CC. But if CC is not displaying on your tv - it means you're connected via Compositive/S-video cables. I do not know why CC doesn't work in those mode. You'll need to connect your dvd player to your tv via A/V cable.

Dexter is distributed through Showtime/Paramount home video. So yes, it should be captioned. I know Paramount always caption their DVDs.
