In all seriousness, could you point me in the right direction so I can find where the bible says G-d is a man?

Just something worth stating because people asked: Female circumcision, that is, partial or total removal of the clitoris (referred to female genital mutilation or FGM in western societies) is performed in a number of cultures. It's a lot more dangerous than male circumcision, though, and can cause a lot of health problems down the line that male circumcision does not, which is part of the reason the practice is a lot more rare.

Ayala, God is not really referred to as being an actual "man" or "male" in any specific sense in the Bible, other than references which call him a "Father" and things like that. It is our assumption, because English lacks a variety of gender-neutral pronouns, that God is a man or male, because all we have read is translations that refer to him almost exclusively using male pronouns, etc.

My denomination has chosen to take a more gender-neutral stance as a group.

Morrigan-

I've always taken the non-gender specific stance in regards to g-d (though I do admit I tend to say "he" more often than not). I was just curious since pek1 claims the bible states that G-d is obviously a man.

ummmm.. sweetie...
yes I have good ideas, I know, thank you!! :)

I have one now for you especially:
do go and change these diapers of yours, son, because if you don't your circumcised (or not, it doesn't really matter) weewee will burn badly and make you cry...

Also carrying all that nappy load for hrs will make you cranky and tired,
too cranky to go and play in that kids section you love so much..

do it quick for you sure don't want to miss another Tweety and Sylvester show coming up.

tata, scram-ing away from that stink that surrounds you..

Fuzzy
