No, if you don't want argue with me then ignore my post or go out of this thread.

I told you to use google to research on CIA, Jiro already explain to you so numerous time.

What Jiro and you have to say has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the majority of Americans have absolutely no idea what goes on in the CIA. And the CIA wants to keep it that way. That is why they are fighting the release of documents.

No, you are wrong, I'm not talk about most Americans has no idea about CIA, but I'm talking about many people from other countries don't how CIA works, except for anyone who work for government or military.

Liebling and Jiro has posted alot of information about situation with CIA and brutal punishment in Gitmo prison, such as torture.

I am talking about the fact that most people in the U.S. don't know what goes on in the CIA. People in the U.S. know no more about their secretive activities than do people in other countries. The only reason the reports regarding torture at Gitmo have been confirmed is because the secret reports were ordered to be released. Prior to that time, people did not know what was going on there.

You stated that people in other countries don't know what goes on in the CIA. I am saying the vast majority of American citizens don't know, either. Gitmo is but one situation that can be attributed to the CIA.

Many people in US do aware about situation with CIA, such as memo about torture in Gitmo prison because it already over on news and there's many people that I had talk and they do know about CIA.

I don't want CIA to release the memo because it could affect congressional election in 2010, such as republican takeover congress like happened in 1994. I would rather to see Obama doing his job at general, also keep defend on CIA and closing of Gitmo prison could affect too, even we don't know right now.

That's the whole point. If memos regarding CIA activities are kept secret, no one knows what is going on in the CIA.

I think civilians outside US often know more about CIA than americans themselves. The reason is that CIA is mostly busy with foreign topics and is part of the role as superpower US have played the last decades. Gitmo was filled with foreigners, and you can be sure that the countries where the prisoners came from did have many CIA headliners in their newspapers.

President Barack Obama is also attempting to block a court decision ordering the release of photos showing American troops abusing prisoners - reversing a previous decision to allow them to be published.

Mr Obama said last month he feared that publication would further inflame anti-American feelings in Iraq and Afghanistan

BBC NEWS | Americas | CIA warns over terror documents

Yeah, just like when Bush didn't want to inflame anti-American feelings in Iraq and Afghanistan by not showing more photos. How ironic just for political expediancy. First he said he would, and now he won't. His talks come with an expiration date. Just remember that.

yep..... yep....... exactly what I said few months ago.

Yup, if Obama don't listen to them then would be repeat of 1994.

It's already too late, he hasn't listened to them at all. For a start, with $1.8 trillion dollar record deficit in less than 3 months that's 5 times as much as Bush in his first year in office isn't going to win votes. We already know that. And the increased taxation in the United States is just beginning that will affect all classes of people from rich down to the middle class and poor or low income people affecting them what they hold dear....their wallets.

Just watch....

Thank you, Nostradamus.:P

But taxation has nothing todo with secretive CIA activities or documents.

Thank you, Nostradamus.:P

It's human nature when given the means and power to spend when you're given credit (and not be held accountable eventually) will they spend beyond their allocated amount. Congress will continue to do this and it'll get worse. We already saw that in the first 3 months spending money we don't have. We continued to see this for years from all presidents and Congress. It's either you acknowledge that and correct that mistake or you don't.

I'm sorry but no.. it's not time for disclosure. People do not need to know either. They do not the mentality & judgment to handle the truth to understand the gravity of the situation. There are already a handful of oversights that overlook CIA such as FISA, White House, Senate Intelligence Committee, and bunch more and that's fine with me. McCain understands it better than you, me, Foxrac, and Obama combined. I know Pelosi understands it as well but unfortunately - she's a useless hypocrite who puts her political career ahead of America's best interest.

It's naive of you to demand that we know what CIA is doing. By demanding them to publicly revealing our ability to protect the National Security - you just put America and the citizens at grave danger and 9/11 will be nothing comparable to what will happen.

Now Obama's learning how to handle this discreetly.

*wow*:eek3: to some of comments here...

It look like that I have to repeat my post to remind some ADers like what I made my posts in several threads.

I will be back for further post later.

Please, repetition is not necessary.

You are entitled to your opinion. It differs from mine. No disclosure means no accountability, which is exactly what we are currently dealing with regarding the torture, the destruction of documents, and the secret memos. No accountability means illegal activity and placing this country in danger of retaliation. Your attitude is reminiscient of Tricky Dick. Scary.

so you have no faith in Legislative and Judicial Branch to overlook them (as sanctioned by Executive Branch)?

Like I said, lack of accountability is a dangerous thing.

Let's see.... a significant portion of Senators, Congressmen, and Judges are aware of it including McCain, Robert Gates, Pelosi, and dozens more serving for Obama Administration who also served under Bush Administration. We have FISA court, Senate Intelligence Committee, and several more.

so... lack of accountability? where? If that's the case, then why did Obama, all of sudden, decide not to release any further torture memo? There are already procedures and system of accountability in place to handle this sensitive matter. I suppose Obama was not aware of it.... that's what happens when you're new in the game.
