I think you can decorate for Christmas, that's fine. Just remember to get your daughter a birthday cake and birthday presents (not mixed with Christmas presents). I'm sure that you are more sensitive about your daughter than my in-laws were for my hubby (and his sister--she was a December baby, too). Their parents used to say, "Hey, you got plenty of Christmas presents, you don't need birthday presents too!" My hubby never, never had a birthday party, until we married..

That is horrible! Is your husband's birthday in December?

We decorated the real ( live ) Christmas tree, and we went to the Pat Craft store to get new craft ornaments, and brought new lights too....It's look sooooooooo beautiful!!!...We also have 3 fakes trees, two of them ( 3 foot )are in the kitchen/dinning room where the patio door is at and one 4 foot tree is near where the dinning room table is at....I loveeeeeeee Christmas, and I end up buying too many things that has lights in them ( Cheri knows me so well when it comes to those stuff ) LOL ;)

Reba,

I'm surprise you said real trees are exprestive?....We only paid 28.00 for 7 foot tree and WHOLE house spell like pine in here ( it soo soft too it wasn't like last year we got the one that feel like needle pointing) , last year we brought I think 8 or 9 foot tree and it only cost us $50.00....We always go to the one near our house, they know us!

::::head down shamefully::::

I seem to lean toward being Scooge this year for Christmas. I feel like I have to drag myself to get a tree this year. Maybe it is because it doesnt feel like Christmas to me yet. I still seem to think it is September. I went to the first of many Christmas parties last Saturday and I still can't get into Christmas spirit.

:::making a mental note to herself to get a tree this week:::

Aw :(

*getting the girls together, and picking up the most beautiful Christmas tree for Meg *.....

We will bring the wine this time Megan! ;)

Three fake ones for my girls' each this year!
Last year we brought a real pine tree, nice smile but it need watering all the time and this year I will be busy away, and I won't have a time to look after it and it is messy, to clean up etc.

Also we put christmas lights outside for everyone to view!!
Merry Christmas to everyone!

I dont need to bother myself with christmas trees. Dried christmas trees are good as a powderkeg in your house.

When is it time to put your christmas tree?

I think 2 weeks before christmas is the right time.

I know one friend's relative who already put the christmas tree two weeks before Thanksgiving.

It is not matter to me for best time.. as long as right after Thanksgiving. My family already got the christmas tree and plan to decorate when my school is closed for x-mas vacation (family tradition)

We got our real tree last Friday ( the first week of Dec. )

At 11:59 PM before Midnight of Christmas Eve.

Just kidding :) Ideally, it would be 2 to 3 weeks before Christmas Day but then again, it varies every year for me, depending on my schedule. This year, I have been unbelievably busy so I think I will be late this year. :sure:

The best time to decorate is just the weekend after Thanksgiving. If I am to decorate outside then I do it just the day after Thanksgiving because December get really too cold in my area.

usually my family put tree up day after thanksgiving.. but this year i not going do it... since i drove back RIT with my friend :fu: my aunt is pissed off at me cuz i not going help her at all cuz my xmas tree was 10 foot tall and she cannot reach most of it.. so she has to buy 5 foot tall tree..

I would say two weeks before Christmas, but I'm not going to get home to my parents until the 21st, and I'd like to help pick and put up the tree!

as for me, I tends to do it like last min... a week before Christmas, but I won't be home for Christmas and will be out at PA... not celbrating Christmas there, but I am sure we'll get to celbrate Christmas earlier this year in order for me to have some Christmas spirit :)
