1. What does Christmas mean to YOU?...

Christmas to me is a celebrating the birth of Christ, spending time with those you love, a day with laughter and fun.

2. In what ways does Christmas put pressure on YOU?..

The only pressure I would have would be finding gifts for my love ones, when I don't know what to get them.

3. How do YOU expect to spend Christmas day?...

I don't really expect anything, expect having a nice Christmas dinner with my family and watching them enjoying Christmas.

4. If YOU could have ONE wish this Christmas what would it be?...

If I had one wish for Christmas that would be seeing Christmas Carols singing in front of my house with sign language.

5. What is on your Christmas list?...

What is on my Christmas to do list? Buying gifts for my children, my parents and baking cookies on Christmas Day, going shopping for Christmas dinner, buying a Christmas tree and etc.

6. How much money do you think your family/partner usually spend on YOU at Christmas and how do you feel about this?...

I dunno how much they spend on me, It really doesn't matter to me.

7. How much money do YOU spend on each child?....( it doesn't have to be an exactly amount )....

It depends on each year, There are times I would spend at least 300.00 on each child, If I don't have much, I would get them at least 2 or 3 presents.

My Family and friends. ;)


9. What are your plans on Christmas day and Christmas Eve?

On Christmas Eve, My plans would be at my Dad's house and on Christmas day would be spend at our home with my children.


10. What is the BEST thing you ever experiences on Christmas?

My best experience would be spending times with my love ones, being close on Christmas Day with a room full of laughter's, hugs and a good conversations.


11. Who do YOU love to spend the entire day with on Christmas day and
Why?.....

I would love to spend my entire day on Christmas with my two beauitful children, because it can be the most wonderful and the most exhausting time of the year

12. What have you done to help others during the holiday season?

The holiday season isn't over yet, So my plans are, helping the homeless/poor children by donating foods and small gifts because those children need all of the love they can get. And being a single mother I try to do as much as I can to help them. I am also donating money to help Amanda's family with hospital and funeral expense. I'm sure there more I can do to help others, but I only listed that was on top of my head at this moment. ;)

Being with family and friends, enjoying the goodwill and fellowship of the holidays and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and all that he means to us.

Many people out for the holidays, so I have extra work and sometimes overtime...yikes.

3. How do YOU expect to spend Christmas day?...
Waking up at my parents' home, opening stocking stuffers and then going home to my beloved MizzDeaf...and spending time with her.

4. If YOU could have ONE wish this Christmas what would it be?...
That I find my favorite Coca-Cola watch with my commitment rings attached to the band...*sigh*

5. What is on your Christmas list?...
Nothing, really. Just hoping to get cards from good friends!!

6. How much money do you think your family/partner usually spend on YOU at Christmas and how do you feel about this?...
Quite a bit... sometimes ashamed because I had been so busy getting myself out of debt, but this year is sure to be something special.

I usually send my little cousins and goddaughter gifts worth between $20 and $30

Family, friends and whoever wanna one!!!

9. What are your plans on Christmas day and Christmas Eve?
I will be at my parents home Xmas Eve and then going back home Xmas Day.
We have a great dinner, then open presents under the tree on Eve nite, and play chickenfoot. Then on Xmas Day we open stocking stuffers, have a good breakfast, and then since this is my first time in years, packing up all the goodies and foodies, kissing my parents bye bye and going home to MizzDeaf to start a new tradition!!

10. What is the BEST thing you ever experiences on Christmas?
It would be the time I had my first Christmas at my grandparents' home in western PA - it was the year my stepdad adopted me and gave me his last name, so it was very special for me and all of us.

11. Who do YOU love to spend the entire day with on Christmas day and
Why?.....
It will be the first time, because I just moved in with MizzDeaf October 28th, so it will be a new tradition...but I already love spending time with her and the cats, so I know it will be a very extra-special day for me.


12. What have you done to help others during the holiday season?
I have often volunteered to gather foodstuffs for St. Louis Food Bank, and am already doing it again at work. It is something that I feel I need to do, because I have been in situations where I had to get donated food. It makes me feel good to be able to repay the kindness of others by gathering food and taking it to the Food Bank.

I'm an adult now and its a whole lot different than it was when I was a kid. I had all the excitements but now its all about stressing out!

I would say about 300 dollars

Family and Friends.. too many to name.. I've already sent out 40 cards and still have alot more to go!

Christmas Eve, Stay home; Christmas Day, we either go over to my Uncle's or go to Montgomery, Al to Chris's family's house


10. What is the BEST thing you ever experiences on Christmas?
I believe it was last year, My mom knew it would be her last xmas so we got ton of gifts, my daughter had the best gifts from her mee mee. I got to spend all my time with my mom. That's just one of the best experiences I've had.. but I had a lot of good xmas for many years!


11. Who do YOU love to spend the entire day with on Christmas day and
Why?.....
With Chris and Jaci, They are my family and I get to see Chris the whole 2 to 3 days without him working. So, its a happy little family during those times!


12. What have you done to help others during the holiday season?
I spent about 200 dollars on this little boy, Tyler. He was living on the street and didn't have anything. No clothes, shoes, jacket, or toys! So, I took him shopping and bought him clothes, shoes, and toys.


13. Have you ever donation any money during the holiday if so, what?....I've donated money to Salvation Army, given clothes and money.

It means to me many things, it can mean:
* honouring the story of Jesus Christ from 6th Dec to 7th January
* Welcoming the return of the sun, to make the day become longer
* Spending time with family and loved ones
* to look back into the year, and to look hopefully forth into the new year
* insane shopping season!!!

* When I am with my hearing family, and they do not involve me in conversations. Yet, they expect me to be there in any case.
* Finding the right gifts for my family and loved ones

* That my mother changes her attitude towards her health and start eating healthy again

I don't have a child. We do have a dog so the dog is spoiled with treats and stuff.

Christmas Eve, I have to work. They said Santa will stop by at work, so I am looking forward to it! As for Christmas, I am not sure. I have never spent Christmas with my BF's family before, but I do know they celebrate something on Christmas Eve and Noel. It will be a new experience for me.

10. What is the BEST thing you ever experiences on Christmas?
The camarade of fellow deaf people spending time together on Christmas Eve and Day (that was in England).

11. Who do YOU love to spend the entire day with on Christmas day and
Why?.....
My family, the family dog, friends and my BF. My family dog knows how to open presents, so I always have fun watching the dog opening presents. I also like to see relatives visiting us as we usually dont see relatives very often.

12. What have you done to help others during the holiday season?
Help others? I have not really done any charity work on Christmas Day. Growing up, it was in the countryside where I lived, so soup kitchens and such were not around. However, I live in the capital city now, but it never really crossed my mind to do that.

I don't donate DURING the holidays per se. I would rather donate DURING the year. I prefer Habitats for Humanity.

9. What are your plans on Christmas day and Christmas Eve? On Christmas Eve, since I'm alone (my son spends with his Dad and family), I go attend my church Christmas service, then go visit my friends, drive around look at Christmas lights or luminarias and then go home and wrap up few last gifts and stuff stocking for my son, light up the candles and finally, pray for World Peace. On Christmas day in the morning, my son comes home to me and open up all of his presents and watch him in awe, and then spend the rest of the day at my mom's house for Christmas dinner. It's been like that every year since my divorce 10 years ago.


10. What is the BEST thing you ever experiences on Christmas? I always get excited when my relatives, my son, and my friends open gifts from me so that's the best experience of Christmas every year.


11. Who do YOU love to spend the entire day with on Christmas day and
Why?... My son because I love him since the day he was born.


12. What have you done to help others during the holiday season?None because I always help in the Deaf community in planning events and friends through out the year.


13. Have you ever donation any money during the holiday if so, what?....None. I donate few dollars to my charity every two weeks and clothes or stuff I don't want anymore to Salvation Army or Goodwill throught out the year.

Celebrate the birth of Jesus. We didn´t forget how wonderful man he is who died for our sin. Christmas spirits shown how much he meant to us.

My children´s healthy and Education.
Fulfilling my children´s dream wish. Danny wish to go School of Economics/Business next year and Alan wish to being Chemistist but he must go to Secondary school or Grammar school next year or 2007. He kept talk repeatly about this and want to go Secondary school. I told them if they really want to go there then do that. I´m happy to support them.

:dunno: It doesn´t matter to me really. (I love surprised gifts, no matter what... I feel being kid when I see surprised gifts... :giggle:)

How much money I spent on each child? :dunno: I bought designer clothes, runners, games, etc. to keep them in the attic around the year. (I hate christmas stress and crowd that´s why I rather to buy anything around the year) I will count how much I spend next time for your next 2nd thread in December 2006 :giggle:

When my MIL is alive, we would go her house to celebrate Christmas Eve (German Christmas) and then celebrate on Christmas Day at us. She is not alive... Just me, my hubby, 2 sons and 2 cats together alone in our house... quite and comfortable.... play games ... chat .... Then being alone with my hubby after put children in the bed... glass of wine as usual... gift preparation under the tree... On Christmas Day, we will have Alan´s Godmother & family to celebrate with us. I will cook Wild herbal Salmon.. mmmhhhh. Of course my 2 cats deserve to have salmon, too for their christmas treat.

My children´s exciting and hugs to us.... Joyful... alot of laugh.... with good friends....

I love to see my children´s exciting faces when they open their presents.... It´s beautiful Christmas spirit to spend with my loving family

I haven´t any experience like that before.

Yes, we donate money to orphan children for Christmas gift every year. The Bank transfer from my account to their account every first week of December.
I donated money to Katrina´s victims. (Bank do for all of us).
I donated money for Amanda´s flower to Alex
I donated money with card for Amanda´s family´s funeral and hosptial bill expense to ^Angel^ then she will forward my card to them.

I´m not rich but I help them what I can.

I know it sounds nuts, but I really want to erase my memory of that woman from Oregon! The event happened between me and her was during Christmas and it sure makes more difficult for me to forget whole about her. (6 years ago)

my best friend, Chris gave me a baby horse(real life) but sold it around two years ago, I think :(

Why?.....

I would say Seq since hes special guy in my heart and my life, I love him!

12. What have you done to help others during the holiday season?

Give money to Homeless Shelter and bring food there, give them some gifts and our clothes that we dont need anymore and some of our toys too plus pillows, blankets, pretty almost everything.


13. Have you ever donation any money during the holiday if so, what?

giving stuffs what homeless people need and giving them food at Homeless Shelter

YES, i have 2 of them now and is still collecting them for the living room since the walls are tan it matches the black and white photos
