First of all, I wish you all merry christmas and christmas is not far to go, hey?

I know during the winter season of christmas, a lot of americans and canadians enjoy a drink of eggnog, I have seen them plenty in movies.

Only last night, they were in stock at the local store for the first time in my life, I bought one, tried it, and I must say, it is an interesting taste.

Every year, every christmas, one favourite, I certainly enjoy during christmas season is Brandy Custard, I could gobble one bottle of it. It is delicious, and one of my favourites, it is excellent with warm pudding.

What is your thoughts of drinking eggnog? Have you tried, Brandy Custard?

The brandy custard, sold here in Australia only appears christmas time. One of the rarity.

I drank Eggnog when there is getting close to Christmas and on Christmas day. Did you put nutmeg on top of the eggnog? It should be good. I have not got around to buy the carton of eggnog yet. I will get one soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, JClarke. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your wife and your own family. :)

EDIT: I have never had Brandy Custard before. I don't know if we have one here. :hmm:

I have not tried the brandy custard yet. i see that there have recipes for it. i ll check it later.

. . . What is your thoughts of drinking eggnog? Have you tried, Brandy Custard? . . .

Merry Christmas! . . . from a new alldeaf forum member.

We used to make eggnog from eggs and cream and spices. No one trusts a raw egg anymore and I can certainly understand that. Drinking eggnog continued with the store-bought and, as a kid, I was completely happy to drink it without bourbon or brandy added.

I really cannot imagine drinking eggnog during the summer heat! Australia must have important winter holidays. Maybe you can think of ways to adapt the eggnog tradition into one of those - wow! It packs a lot of calories!

Port and lemon? Oh, that sounds good! I've never had brandy custard. Could I sneak it into a pie ;)?

I will be celebrating Christmas &, maybe, New Years with my son, a recovering alcoholic . . . It definitely changes my thinking about what to have to drink. I've got some real good whole-bean coffee. In fact, it was an early gift from him! There's no reason to think that the coffee grinder will break down before the holidays :)!

Interesting. I've never made fat-free egg nogg, but now I've got to give it a shot. Thanks for the idea.

I do like regular egg nog with either brandy or rum, but I don't usually eat too much fatty food anymore.
