Chicago to crack dowb on unlocked cell phones?

Happens too often everywhere.
 
Kind of a weird reason to stop using a transportation mode. I'd quit if the murder rate was high, not because there's a chance my phone would be taken. Secure your phone in a spot on your body that it's hard to get to.

I doubt that any city or state will make a very good dent in 'unlocked' (or jailbroken as the word is) phones... it's too prevalent already. Better method is to have some kind of security feature already IN the phone before shipped out if people are that concerned about it.

Actually it's the smart thing to do. Why? People who rob others on the Metra don't get far. On the Red Line? Bye bye phone.
 
well in that case- make a little pouch, sew it to the inside of your underwear and stick the phone there :)

Now that part I'm not entirely certain on. All I know is that they want me to keep an open VRS line if they need to reach me, and I'm hoping that day never comes, but then again, who knows? However, I am gonna try and head down there more often.
 
Maybe they need something to do since they can't crack down on legal gun owners ?
 
Doesn't matter where you go... there's always chances it gets stolen. Just use your common sense while you use the phone and where you put it away securely when not in use.

Phones are replaceable, life is not. If a known area has high murder rate, that's where I would avoid going. If someone try to rob your phone... best to give it to them than have them shoot you and take your phone.
 
I've seen his phone in pictures... I'm pretty sure nobody is going to try and steal his phone... I think he's safe... He'd have to pay someone to steal it... He's worrying about nothing... again... as usual...
