Check it out pek1....

Happy Birthday Pek1! ;)

I received a message from alldeaf.com yesterday morning wishing me a happy birthday and then I came to the forums. I didn't see anything . . . not that I was looking. I knew you people wouldn't forget. :)Thank you on and all. I went out to Famous Dave's and had Catfish, thinking of how much school work I have yet to do (yeah, a real happy birthday).

Thanks to all of you...will go back and thank individually, okay? :thumb:

Happy Birthday Pek1!, May all your dreams come true, have a GREAT birthday dude! :thumb:

Thanks, Angel!! Actually, they did! I did an oral presentation in class on the 2nd of March which involved a paper by the same title. Today, I learned I received a 93 out of 100. It would have been a 100 but I didn't state my postion on a debate that I spoke and wrote on. Yes, I was trying to be objective (as a journalist), but was told I had to. Well, I started talking about "Hindsight is better than Foresight...et al..." and if you're familiar with that speech, tee hee, there is no position that is possible. I used that in both the paper and the speech. :D

Pek1- Happy Birthday! Here's a nice lil gift for you;

Geoff in Radio

If this guy can do it, albeit in a small market like Syracuse, there's hope for you in becoming a talking head in television. :) May you realize your dreams and fulfill your ambitions.

Eyeth,

I was in an internship meeting yesterday and it wasn't encouraging, which is the reason why I was a little down on my birthday. Yes, the interships are for broadcasting...specifically, news broadcasting. No, I didn't do any crying about it, as I was aware of it and how competitive it is. But, like Heath, I intend on fighting and doing everything I can to get in. I want all of my friends on alldeaf.com to scream with excitement when they see me . . . on-the-air and say, "Hey!!! That's Pete (pek1) from alldeaf.com!!!!!" Then, just like the gentleman in the article (will print this one out...thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I will succeed! I gotta print this out and read it when I get discouraged. I hope Heath printed out the article on the Incredible Hulk and his quest in being a police officer. It's sad to think that "society" pegs people who have a deafness or anything else with them...as if we're disease-ridden. It's a pathetic shame. I really appreciate the encouragement. By the way, I'm looking to possibly relocate back to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/Saint Paul) for school, as Duluth is dead and I can't penetrate it...if you don't know anyone here, you won't get a job anywhere.

Your post to me made my day!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
