I don't know where to put this thread in...I am not sure which forum to put it in so...if this is the wrong place, MODs, please move this to correct forum. Thanks!
Anyway....
I have Central AC...I have never had Central AC before....and one of the vents in my house is leaking some kind of chemical...it is dripping on my carpet, I smelled the carpet and it smells funny. I dunno what to do about it but I am not sure what do do besides speak to management in the morning about it. I am not going to call the emergency management hotline because it is not an emergency--it is just dripping and that is all. But I wonder what to do about it in the meantime. I put a plastic pan under the vent to catch the liquid (it's one of those hospital pans that you puke in) for now. And for now, I've turned the Central AC off for the night and using fans until I can get it fixed. I don't want a big puddle in my carpet in the morning.
So...if anyone knows anything or has suggestions, feel free to post it here.
Thanks!
