I've been picking up signals that free speech has been curtailed at a number of high publicity deaf events.

Through my eyes, sanitizing free speech anywhere is a major no-no. There's a thing called First Amendment and to see this quashed at major deaf events is a major turnoff and opens the event organizers to criticisms and possible litigation.

Could you be more specific? What kind of censorship are we talking about here?

yr not making any sense be more clear and stop talking like president bush cuz you're beating ard the bush no pun intended.....

The saga of Nesmuth goes on and on. Never specific enough. Specifics, facts, please.

Spend quality time on your agency than in AD. :slap:

the more your adversisting ur BS on the agency the more we back off on it richard, for one thing i would not go near that place if that agency was the last on earth. 2nd of all ur nothing but egoist, unlike GLAD and DCARA they may have money plms as we all do, but you don't have the gall nor the guts to admit u got your flaws. ur's is abt egos thiers is abt reachng out and educating... and well let's see now... they dont boost for bs, they talk and communicate unlike you who just says thier shitless and all. tsk on you for berating the poeple.

and leave deafnation alone. this is thier way of reaching out to the poeple, as for the * soresoninzed* bs u mention.... welcome to techonlogies. we live in the computer world now where life is getting more simple for the deaf community unlike you who lives on negtives!

Deafnation thrives on history and they did a wonderful job on deaf across america journey they reached out to all of us and met with many different histories itsnot just abt sports and legal rights. its the histories and lives we shared!

Look at what happened to Polecat Pictures in Deaf Expo 2004 and what's been going on in Deafnation Expo.

Richard

This is a flawed argument. Polecat Pictures is a business devoted to "deaf" pornography. There's nothing inherently wrong with that. However, at Deaf Expo and DeafNation shows, there's a LOT of kids walking around and there's a valid reason to remove them.

Regardless, the producers of Deaf Nation/Deaf Expo are not required to follow the First Amendment. The Constitution only applies to state and federal governments and is used as a "benchmark" for private organizations but if you don't like DeafNation's stance, then don't buy exhibitor space there or don't purchase admission to the event.

Porn???? oh puleez! We have common sense to know that we cannot show porn in front of kids...

I thought it was something more important than the stupid porn!!!!
