Car accident.

Yeah, I did ask the employer what auto body shop they recommend and they said they can't help me with that one (sounds like). So it's on my own hunting for 2 more auto body shops.

You know that you are very lucky because car isn't totaled and insurance is getting screw up but its small cost for you and mine is much worse. My car is totaled in last year and now I'm drive so careful. I don't know about driver that who fault to get in car accident and you probably get no increase for insurance but I can be wrong.

Please forgive me if I get wrong.

I think that depends on state law, the owner of the damaged car has a right to choose their body shop and other party's insurance has to pay the damage and get it repaired at the body shop the owner chooses. When someone hit me last year, they told me that I can choose any body shop I want so I choose the body shop and they had it fixed which takes about 10 days.

I don't know about your law, but do a research on it or ask your insurance for information and recommendations.

Good luck and cheers!

I called the honda dealer today and got 4 different auto body shop referrals and I will go to 2 of these auto body shops and get a estimate sometime this week when we have the time. :)

Update: This is what they said. I don't agree with them. I made an appointment with the deaf advocate next week to discuss about legal advice and see what happens from there.

It sounds like they don't want to report it to their own insurance company and send me a check from their own payroll. Also, I would have to pull $$ out of my pocket to get a rental car and they pay it back, I don't think so! I thought that usually the insurance company will PAY whatever the final repair costs after the car is out of the shop. Why does simple accidents cause so many problems, what a greedy world out there.

In order to resolve an accident claim, Northwest Center asks for at
least two estimates for repairs. You provided three - Thank you.
Northwest Center, naturally will pay you for repairs at the lowest
estimate ($1,861.56 the RS Auto Rebuild estimate) in the same manner
that you or me would get the repairs done at the lowest possible cost,
if NWC was not involved. We can send you a check after you sign an
agreement that this amount would satisfy all claims against Northwest
Center for damages. It would be your decision whether to actually
repair the car. If you do, of course, Northwest Center will also
reimburse you for the additional amount for car rental.

*bump* no one replied since. :dunno: I don't expect any replys, but I just wanted to share the news.

I hope everything works out well with your appointment next week and keep us posted.

Here's the update. My car is fixed! It looks like brand new and thanks to the auto body did a great job!
