Breast Cancer

For me it took over 50 different doctors to get opinion that I felt comfortable with. It took me 4 damn years but I refused to get intimidated by drs. Finally I got proper diagnosis and accepted that opinion. Unfortunately I had to pay out of my pocket to pay for many unauthorized visits without approval by my insurance company but I didnt care. My health comes first and Im not going to let a lousy doctor tell me what is right or wrong.
Understandable. I wouldn't blame you if you cannot afford to invest your trust in these conventional doctors. I can't either. Your health comes first, nothing else.

I do have breast lump, i m going to have breast biopsy this may 5 :( it is benign, non cancerous
First, my younger daughter was 5 days old, breastfed, I noticed there and saw Dr immediately he thought it is milk plugged as magnitis (spell?)i was given antibiotic (for nothing :squint: ) now my daughter is 15 mo there is still have lump, Dr thought is A lactating adenoma, Dunno.
I have seen other Dr same doesnt know cuz lump is in chest upper breast mostly not alike milk plugged and neither hurt nor red nor hard I am still worrying about cancer, I read after biopsy can get cancer :( BTW, I am 27 now first baby I was 22 with older daughter, both were breastfeeding over 1 y.o.

I will pray that your biopsy goes well, and that you get good news.

i hope they find something soon, get this whole thing resolved and that this doctor is not some idiot dumbass who overlooks things like they did with my best friend...

i hope (like meg and josh did) that you kept going for many opinions until you found the right doctor???

Thanks, FiestyChick and Magatsu :)

I have car accident I was 3 month preggy with younger daughter I didnt notice lump appeared afterwards that place where lump is exact where belt, maybe when hit my car rear hard cause tissue swollen, blocked milk by belt, bruise or bump upper rib what Drs thought, I am still seeing many different Dr related to MVA, breast cancer, shoulders( i have sore/pains my shoulders where closest to lump upper chest), primary they all same told me milk plugged or mangitis first, wrong, been 15 mo lump never gone so I think it is tissue swollen or what else  if breast cancer should feel red, hurt or pain right? mine nothing and different :dunno:

I am sorry about your friends. We lost someone we knew last January after battle with it for 7 years and lost it. Really shame cuz too many good women lost their lives.

We had a women fellowship one night, and we had a video about breast cancer. They were made from deaf women who survived. We discussed alot and asked one woman, who beat the odd, alot of questions about it. Very education.

My friend had a lump underarm and will get it remove next week because it is too close to breast. Won't know what it is till the lab result. She gets nervous about it and want it to be removed it now.

Ladies I am very sorry to hear about your friends & loved ones. :( :grouphug:

My Mother-In-Law is a Breast Cancer survivour. As much as I joke about her being crazy. It was such a hard time for our family. We all helped her get thru it. She is now 4 years cancer free. Now she is a volunteer in hospice. Also she does everything she can. To help raise money for breast cancer research. She is very involved with the Relay For Life program...
