From reading various sites talking about this homeless guy, but before I begin, I applause this cop took the time to buy boot and socks and bring it to him. It was generous gifts for this homeless guy. Now, from my wife perspective (since she work as clincal therapist and she work with lot of homeless people) and other people, she noticed that the man sat next to the shoe store and he was hoping someone will buy him a shoe/boot. He may have many shoes at home (or shelter), or he may tried to get one from some one and the homeless guy will give to another homeless guy or he will trade boot/shoe with other homeless guy for drugs.
So, it's hard to see what he will do next after he get new boots from this cop. What count the most... is that this cop took a break and spent generous amount of money to buy boot and socks. Some people say that he shouldn't be doing that. Many of homeless people are very smart and trickory.
