Blind Iraqi Vet Beaten at McDonald's for Bringing a Service Dog inside Restaurant

I would expect this at Al Queda's grease joint, but HERE at home!?!? I salute you and all vets that even make "freedom of stupidity" possible! (((ssalute)))

Interesting...seems that McDonald's was hiding something...as that the sign said service dogs are allowed, and yet they didnt allow his dog wtf? Can't they tell ANYTHING when they see a dog wearing something unusual as the vest? It doesn't take rocket science to tell the difference between the pet dog and the service dog...those people are extremely more stupid than a herd of jackasses.

That's disgusting treatment he recieved at the hand of McDonald's. I hope he gets what he asked for in the lawsuit and have his experience validated as well.

MILLIONS of dollars should make the man forget a 2 minute beating. Just saying.

unless they were defending themselves, they should have called the police if they have an issue with the dog. Other than that, the police could told them that he is allow to have a service dog.

I wonder why they brought up Iraqi War veteran? is it because he was wearing his uniform at the time? I know some people have issues with people in military uniforms.

regardless of peoples' political stance on war, or personal opinion of dogs/service animals, that is a terrible, terrible and very sad thing! :(:mad:
what is even sadder is that I am not shocked by it

People discharged from the service don't usually wear their uniforms.

If people have issues with military uniforms they don't need to be working in customer service. It certainly doesn't permit them to assault people wearing uniforms.

Is it because they have an issue with the punk/goth/industrial subculture or because they have an issue with the military?

That's because he was being interviewed about the service dogs for veterans program. That doesn't mean he wears it daily. It was a special occasion.

He's really not supposed to wear his uniform unless he wears it properly. I wouldn't want to give a hard time to a wounded veteran but "officially" if he wears his uniform there are regulations for the proper way and circumstances that are allowed. That means, complete and proper uniform, and proper haircut. Veterans aren't supposed to wear their uniforms for commercial purposes or in any way that dishonors the service or to attempt a fraud. (I'm not saying this guy did that; I'm just stating some of the rules as examples.)

oh ok, I see. It was about service dogs for veteran like himself. I thought he got the dog because he was blind...
I totally forgot that he was blind due to war.

according to article -
Montalvan, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, uses his golden retriever, Tuesday, to keep him calm.

this dog's a service animal for emotional support

I was going by the OP:
This really pisses me off how a blind man gets beaten up all because he brought in a service dog inside the restaurant. Especially when a man lost his sight while serving for our country.

sorry.

I often wonder why don't military allow a outfit that they can wear outside of service so they can show people they have been or are in the military. I know alot people are proud to show that.

because they're not on official business. same thing with cops and firefighters. you don't see them wearing uniforms when off-duty, right?
