Blank page Internet Explorer!!

I have been using firefox for years and my old new laptop and my new one that I just got last week after my old new laptop dies on me. Anyway, sometime I am online and then out of nowhere that the blank page Internet Explorer opened it open and I had to hold down ctrol+alt then click on delate to get into the program where I can cancel the blank page internet explorer.

So what can I do to prevent it that happening again? It is driving me crazy all the times.
 
Your OS probably has Internet Explorer set for your default internet browser.
