Oh, my, freckles to die for.

Ha ha ha ha, and the best part is I live six blocks from the Harley-Davidson dealer and wish-it-were-mine store.

Speaking of to-die, I notice your tough-looking hubby uses the Gillette close-groomer, too.

LOL Yes he does

Skullchick, I know this is a serious thread, and I'm glad you started it. All by itself, the beauty and health tip of keeping skin out the sun will help people, and the other tips are welcome and needed.

If you'd like, I'll move my dumb way off topic posts.

That's it............I'm leaving my hubby and going to Oregon!!!! Woo Woo Chasie!!!!

 Boy, you are cracking me up. Question is what if he is not the man in the picture? The guy in the picture look very handsome and cute. No wonder everybody like his looks. I really like a very clear cut clean guy. My husband like to have his hair cut by the Barber once a month. He never grow his hair long as his traditional hair style. He just like his hair short period. As for me, I always wear ponytail all the time. I have not gone to the beauty shop to get a hair cut and put color in my hair in a long time. I can not handle that by trying to cut myself, so I need someone to do that for me. Otherwise, I will have a bad hair cut which I don't want. :wiggle:

You're a sweetie, Skullchick. As a farm boy, I milked cows. We used a dressing for teats called Bag Balm. It's a petroleum gel like Vaseline with lots of lanolin. Dairy workers since 1899 who used Bag Balm noticed their hands never chapped, cuticles never split, and small cuts always healed quickly without infection.

Because I work with bugs and food, I wash my hands many, many times a day and still use Bag Balm in the same green cube can.

Anyone else use this old Vermont cure-all for dryness and keeping cuts bacteria-free?

Yes, I've used Bag Balm in the past. That green cube's just not very convenient for me to carry in my purse. :giggle:

Good thread, Skullchick!

I have natural curly hair that doesnt cooperate with me most of the time. Anyone have any tips on how to enchance my curls?

My hubby always compliments me of having soft, smooth lips due to lathering Vaseline or Lanolin over it most nights .... it does work! :) Have been doing this since teens.

I've found that Carmex or Burt's Bees Lip Balm always does the wonders for my lips. My lips usually gets chapped all year round whether it's hot or cold outside. It can be bothersome when it gets chapped.

I also try to minimize the sun exposure, preferably not staying out too long because otherwise if I do, I end up looking like a red lobster. Having a massive sunburn is never fun to have, lol.

As for taking care of my hair, I usually use Thermal Protection (Preferably Tresemme or ThermaSilk) products because it helps and protects your hair from the heat damage due to the sun or hair dryer. It might not work for everyone but it has done well for me.

I don't like to have my hair at a short length. I usually try to keep it at a shoulder length or a little bit past the shoulder. Right now my hair length is at the mid back section.

I am soo impressed you did an awesome job! It looks soo professionally done great haircut too. I would be afraid of cutting my hair in the back bec I can't see or reach it. I am due for a trim but I am soo scared to have a trim bec of my bad experience a trim to the hairstylist was cutting 3-4 inches. I have wavy hair it makes my hair look shorter than what it really is.
Thanks for sharing your haircut tips.

Ohh thanks :) Well at first, I was scared and it took me like 1 hour to cutting my hair because I was so nervous, but second time it take only 30 min to done. Just kept practice and you will get used with it ;) Up to ya, it's your hair.

Ah yeah me too, I use lip balm too and most time I do use Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 and lip gloss does me wonder so far. :) :wiggle:

My beauty tip:

The key to soft, beautiful skin is Vaseline. It's gross but works like a Charm.

Exactly, I only use vaseline for stay outside for long hours (long walk etc) during winter time.

My beauty tip is:

Drink a lot of water and cut down sugar...

I use most of homemade for bath and facial masks.

Hello......My name is Schermy and I'm a recovering Carmex addict. :giggle:

Yup, Carmex keeps the lips soft while bikers are grinning, using clenched teeth for a bug screen.

Reba, the big green cube of Bag Balm is now available in a smaller purse size. However, the Carmex tin is easier for pockets. Hint: Carmex and Burt's Bees tins can be refilled with Bag Balm.
