I've been doing a lot of beading therapy these days. They are great for eye and hand coordination & help with my sense of touch.

When I have sensory overload, I do beading therapy. It works a lot.

I like to do beading only with glass. The seed beads has to be glass too and they are pretty expensive. Yesterday I went to Michael's and I paid over $100 just for glass beads because it's beautiful to work with. I use memory wire [both bracelet and necklace] as they are so easy to work with.

naisho suggested I make pet collars so I did one tonight and I'm pretty impressed how it came out. Mosey was not a happy model at all. Hubby exclaimed "Mosey is not the same as Sabrina!!" [The telly show cat]

Hubby took pictures for me. Thanks Aghori! :ily:

Hubby and I went to the Farmer's Market and I just had to get this beautiful camel bone bracelet from a vendor from Egypt. So heavy and I paid only $8.00 for this. Great deal!

This I do as a hobby and to do fundraising for 90 Love. 90 Love is a non profit support group for both DeafBlind and Deaf to socialise together.

Hubby and I have a home business doing candles, rosehips and essential oils. We supply them to other small home businesses as well.

They are beautiful! You should sell them on Etsy.com.

My wife is off doing glass stuff tonight. She makes her own beads and stuff and does something called slumping.

She says it is a wonderful hobby and she loves it.

Now I know the truth. She is in therapy. Maybe cuz she married me.

They are beautiful.

Beutiful!!

Have you considered baking your own glass?

My cousin does it with a microwave.

Very nice work. The first one is my favorite. It reminds me of a mermaid necklace.

AlleyCat thanks for your nice compliments! Now Etsy is something I'm not too sure about because I'm a big softy, you see. I love making and giving out as gifts.

This time was a big different one as I'm doing fund raising. :)

:giggle: Berry you crack me up about the therapy joke!

Slumping is something I have to check out.

Hmm.. baking glass in the microwave! That's another thing I'll check out too!

I <3 beading. When I was really dealing with my ED, I used beading to help me calm down. I have a lot of anxiety and I would even bring my bead box to school!

I just make a million and one things. I've never sold them. Yours are beautiful!!

Looking good Bucket!! Do you have pic of Sabrina err, I mean Mosey to advertise on how the collar looks!?

Oh I can relate with you there! Beading just totally calms me down and really irritates the heck out of me if someone kicks my bead box! Like tonight! :giggle:

Luckily I have everything all organised and all in see through cups with lids. Thank heavens the lids were on tight! Hubby kicked the box and I freaked! "My beads!" The lids were still intact on the cups so thank heavens otherwise I'd be on all fours picking up all the beads...

Edit: Please post pictures of your beadwork! I'd love to see them!

Here's my baby boy Mosey. I know I'm not supposed to show favouritism, I'm such a bad Mommy! He's my boy.. my baby boy.

The way my cousin explained it she had to buy a separate microwave and a kit. The kit is called "Microwave Kiln" Lay out the glass and bake it. Have to leave it in the encasing till it cools off completely. Keeping the glass from shattering from a rapid cooling cycle. She made some awesome charms from it.

I think it is really neat. I just saw it a few weeks ago when I was at her house.

Pretty cool.

Mosey: But, but Babyblue I'm a guy!!!

Looks pretty cool, it actually puts more attention on him since he's a blackie.
Let's have a show of hands for the pet owners here that want to get a customized pet collar for their dog, cat, rabbit, chinchilla, or ferrets even!
