Back in Texas, Bush enjoys a simpler life

Perhaps "declare" was the wrong word to use since a President cannot offically declare war.

However, former President Bush did not object to Congress authorizing the war in Iraq. He also tried convincing the American people that Iraq had WMDs which he obviously failed to prove.

Bush was the one who wanted to fight the war in Iraq because he suspected that they had WMDs. (which he failed to prove)

Again, EPIC FAIL!

the intelligence community who FAILED Bush with bad intel. The intelligence community such as FBI counter-terrorism unit, CIA, etc. were crippled and cut by Clinton Administration.

You already know my opinion regarding this. I don't blame Clinton for 9/11. Again, let's agree to disagree. :)

You don't need to keep reminding that. I'm simply responding to your posts. :)

And how many before? If I say that this rock I have prevents cancer and my proof is that I don't have cancer, does that make sense? Of course not. He prevented nothing.

I'm embarrassed for the U.S., but not for myself since I never voted for Bush.

However, I think the American people redeemed themselves by electing Obama. :D

again.... no terrorist attack since 9/11....... and I'm sure Bush is humbly knowing at his own quiet home that Obama is using the tools that Bush has created under his Administration - a strong National Security program and the tools needed to combat those who threatened America. For example.......

Pirates Beware: Soon Rifles That Kill from a Mile Away
The highly-classified EXACTO program began a year ago, when the U.S. military's band of scientists and engineers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) — which played a key role in the creation of both the Internet and GPS — let the military-industrial complex know it was seeking a supergun. "The ability to more accurately prosecute targets at significantly longer range would provide a dramatic new capability to the U.S. military," DARPA'S solicitation for bids said. "The use of an actively controlled bullet will make it possible to counter environmental effects such as crosswinds and air density, and prosecute both stationary and moving targets while enhancing shooter covertness." (See pictures of dramatic pirate-hostage rescues.)

:)

Thanks to former President Bush, the U.S. is under greater threat of Al Queda and other terrorist groups than ever before.

I know you'll have a response for this, but that's okay. I have nothing more to say because I don't think President Bush has done anything to keep our country safer than it was before 9/11.

Why keep repeating your opinion in here? I think people already know your opinion :)

Just like you keep repeating your opinion about us being safer and how the Clinton Administration is to blame for 9/11. :)

thanks to former President Bush... he showed the public how REAL this grave threat was which was downplayed by former President Clinton - a false illusion that we were living a prosperous age..... with ticking bomb waiting to go off like what we're seeing now - the mortgage boom, the 9/11, the recession...

I know you'll have a response for this, but that's okay. I have nothing more to say because I don't think President Bush has done anything to keep our country safer than it was before 9/11.
lol!!! you read my mind. yes I do have a response for this :) If President Bush has made this country less safer than it was before 9/11.... then why isn't there any single terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11? Why are illegals having harder time than before to sneak into this country? simple - thanks to Bush's push for massive defense budget to fix our failing National Security. While you feel that we're less safer than before, I feel pretty confident about our country's security. Our Navy Seals had an ability to successfully neutralized the Somalis threat, NYC-NJ emergency personnel were able to respond to US Airways Flight 1549 faster than I can finish my hamburger, and our borders have gotten more difficult for illegals to sneak in.

Now I can finish my hamburger with peace of mind. Now that our National Security issue is fixed.... that's one less headache for Obama to worry about and one less thing for us to worry about. Now Obama can focus on economy, education, and other urgent domestic issues - the mess that Bush created. :)

What about the memo "AL Qaeda determined to strike inside US" (that is what it was called right?) Bush had warnings too.

Bush based his decisions on intel he was TOLD was faulty!! He knew better and he just wanted to start a fight because that bad man tried to kill his daddy.

If he wanted to deal with a REAL danger that everyone KNOWS has WMD, why didn't he go after N. Korea??

Iraq is that ugly mean kid that everyone hates because he smells bad. You pick a fight with him, you are going to (probably) win. (But who knew it would get so messy!) N. Korea is that crazy hobo with a knife that EVERYBODY avoids. Bush is simply a bully.

Jiro,

At least you admitted that Bush was responsible for something. :)

and I already criticized him, Dick Cheney, and his goonies for that as well in many threads. It's nothing new.

lol!!!! a crazy hobo with a knife... LOL! One of many reasons why we can't go after North Korea is because it's not worth sacrificing South Korea and Japan. Whatever are we gonna do without any cool Japanese electronic products???? :hyper::run:

Yup, Vietnam war was very horrible and none of European countries, such as UK are involving to help us to rid of communist but failed, however Vietnam war will be rich in part of history, along with WWI, WWII and Korean war.

Actually, our military technologies were not much use to us in Vietnam.

And I also gave credit to former President Bush where credit is due. :)
