I read posts, your profile, and that you mentioned you are from MN, that how I know it was you Eric.... I am surprised that you enjoy scuba. I know it been like since you graduates from HS, that was last time I seen you.

I didn't know that I am going to same school as Lindz until she mentioned in this thread. IHCC is good college. Teachers will pay attention, like if you need their help. Class sizes are same as high school, about 15 to 40 students in a classroom. They have great tutoring as well. Interpreters are great too and they do have disablity service office that is headed by Tim Boyer. Every buildings are so close to eachother, and if they get extra money from my capitol friends, then they would expand it, build I think what they call it union center because college center is already overcrowded with services and no more rooms for more classrooms and services like workforce, and change the campus. You can visit IHCC www site at http://www.inverhills.edu/ If you have questions, just contact my college or me. Thanks for asking me.

Hello... whos your interpreter? I met more new people... like in my class and I eat lunch with my new college friends. It is fun.. I plan to attend Student Senate Meetings, and if I go to meetings more than 2 times, I would be automatically become Student Senator, just like my boyfriend at other college (he had to run and get votes). Maybe we can meet before class or you can come over my house sometimes... Where in MOA you work at? What is your occupcation at MOA?

Oh Wow.
I am attending there Mondays thru thursdays.
Mondays and Wednesdays I am there at noon till 1:20pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays. 11 to 1pm

I usually finish class, I take off to go to work at the MOA.

I go class every mondays, weds, fri and tutoring on tuesday... I have 2 classes are reading/writing 11:00 am til 12:30 pm and math from 1pm til 2:10pm but I have 1/2 hour of lunch break. Tutoring is from noon til 1pm, sometimes I stay at school to check e-mail or talk with my friends. I really enjoy IHCC very much since its close to home and on bus line... Sometimes I go to school for special events such as last week they had Caucus Day at IHCC where 2 of my friends from legislature came and spoke. They were surprised that I am attending IHCC.

Hate to say this: My interpreter is not connected to the college ( Not Tim Boyer) I am also attending a small post secondary school, its like Vector but is another program that is located in Apple Valley, called Transition Plus. District 196.. My interpreter named Amy Wolff, she used to interpte at St. Louis Park Junior High for a year. Before transfering to District 196. I have several interpteters that from Transition Plus program that interpte me.
Amy is in all of my classes, even last semenster, and last year. :)
I work in the west market, on the 3rd floor, "SPORTMART" is the place where I work :)

A question (or a few) for Rachel -

How come you graduated last year instead of 2001?

Do you keep in touch with Jessica much? I see her now and then, she usually mentions you.

I know that Jessica is also legally deaf and blind, does that run in the family? Do you guys have the same mom/dad?

How do you get to school? I know you cant drive, do you take the city bus or does Metro Mobility pick you up?

=D

hi Pinkester!!
How did you got that nickname> I bet you love pink, am I rite?

Since St. Louis Park refused to give me diploma in 2000, and I had no option but to go to other high school instead of VECTOR which is for low funticnally people and I am way too smart for VECTOR, plus I want go school close to my home not far away.

Jessica usually come home every weekend altough on most weekends I am out with my best friend or campaigning. Sometimes I talk with her on phone altough I don't use TTY much and also contact with e-mail.

I am not sure about other ppl in my family, yes we do have same parents expect for our youngest brother who has different father. I am sure that my vision problem is part of gene.

Yes i take city bus, I also call it my car and sometimes mom drive me.. if bus drivers go on strike in March, I will have someone from my classes to give me rides.

I won't be home tonite, sat til sunday because I will be at my friend's apartment. Keep in touch..

Yeah I do love pink :) I got my nickname either my sophomore year at MSAD or my jr year at SLP, I cant remember.

Why did SLP refuse to give you your diploma? Thats strange. I didnt think there were any requirements that you had to pass like the class of 2002 (and later years) did, like the BST, graduation standards, etc. I wonder if it had anything to do with Mary Sheie... *keeps opinion to myself* She once asked me if i was going to go to Vector and I laughed in her face. I found her approach to Deaf people VERY appalling. Shes gone from SLP now though. *shrugs*

I second that about Mary Sheie... She asked me druing IEP meeting with my parents if i should go to VECTOR.. I defineally said a BIG "NO" my parents agree with me thank god! vector is just a waste of time learning stupid stuffs.. its a no need for it.

I'm glad i get my diploma.. and go ahead go to college on my own.
they even pull me to go to vector by saying "its free" but.. i can feel something funny about vector so i just still say no.
