tired?!?!

I know I am. Want to know why? Well I work 38 hours a week, then I take 7 credits at school, and in order to get to my job and to school, i have to bike a total of 8 miles a day.

Im up at 6:45am and in bed by 10-10:30, you dont even wanna know what my day is like :P

But i'll tel you what it's like, for mon/wed -
be picked up and dropped off at mom's,
bike to work (2 miles, 20 mins),
work (2.5 hours),
bike to school (2.2 miles, 20 mins),
class (hour and 15 mins),
bike back to work (2.2 miles, 20 mins),
work (4 hours),
bike to mom's (2 miles, 20 mins),
then be driven home, shower, do my homework then go to bed. =/
I also only get one day off a week. And you thought being 20 was easy :P

Did you see the thread about the city buses going on strike? Well thats in my area, I used to take the bus 16 times a week, because I have no car. So that is why I bike. :) I bike because i dont want to lose my job or fail school, as well.
oooooooooh the pain!! my ass hurt for a week till i got a new seat =X But i should stop posting and get to school. :P 4.2 miles to school and its not all flat, :P *jumps with joy* ;)

Oh no! i didnt hear about the bus strikes in your area!! thats a pain in the arse alright! but the benefits you get from all that biking...tone up your muscles and all! Hope the strike will end soon!

if i were in ur shoes, i will take bike and go my work or college BETTER than nothing!!!! cuz of i dont wanna miss many time.. sheshh!! so better take the bike once!!!

sowwy hear abt that bus strike... i hope it will be over very soon!!!! the people need the bus to work or anywhere in ur area... oh man!!!!

I can emphatise with you, Pinkster...

I work about 30 hours per week, but that is with two jobs. I work regularly mornings from 9 to 1 then I am off in the afternoons until around 5 pm. I work 5 to 7, but it depends on the appointments I have to go to. Sometimes they get canceled. I also have to make lesson plans, make activities, etc. for that second job. And now I am thinking about getting a third job because I don't earn enough. It isn't easy, I know... I can't imagine if I had to use the bus or a bicycle to go to my job. That would suck because under optimal conditons, taking the bus, then the tram, then bus to work would take me one hour 30 minutes. No thanks. Would rather use my car and drive only 20 minutes. I hope that the bus strikes will be over soon for you.

I used to work more than 36 hours a week when only for xmas season yep I worked at macy's and drugstore it was crazy *rme* but 2 years ago it was like uh more than 40 hours a week and blahhhhh I didn't sure like it but better than bein online all the time lol best of all my pager doesn't work at macy's so I don't have to listen to mom tellin me when when I'm done with work  few times I did took bus home late at night lol but my parents didn't like that idea but I knew HOW to get home was important thing i can do that but if I worked full-time now I wud be goin nuts lol but I will manage to do fine cuz I just get tired of bein online too much anyways..

pinkster-

u'll be fine just do whatever u have to do.. and just remember school will be out for u in may if u continue to take summer classes for the summer. just keep ur head up and have fun ;)

that's sounds like normal schedule... these days right now.. many parents decide to spilt hours like mother works mornings and father works evenings... that way kids can be with parents full time and it save parents money from spending huge costly daycares..

daycare centers here in minnesota normally range $1,000 to $1,500 per month :eek2:

What a crazy costly...

We rather to bring our children up ourselves than give childminder to bring up all the day because the upbrings between us & childminder confuse my children BUT with speech development is a different. The youth worker paid the childminder to stay with our children because of speech development due our deafness accord German law but it´s only up to 3 hours from 1 to 3 years old.

We paid €40 per month to Nursery (Kindergarten) from 3 years to 6 years old to take care of their speech development which it´s good for my children to make new friends there then school.....

wow, a lot of you have kids. Im thankful (right now) that I dont have kids, cause that would suck SO much. But now it rained, and my mom's going to pick me up instead of having me bike home, so the last 2 miles are gone. This week i've gone 30 miles as of right now....

I usual get up at 330am or 430am to get ready for work and work until 730pm and sometime until 430am in the morning.

I work for approximent 75 hours for everyweek.

I spend some time with my daughter too.

It is not so easy when i felt so exhausted for everyday.

I used to do about 60 hours a week if I did sleep-overs at my old job (24 hour shift) plus other daytime shifts as well.
But now, I'm no longer at that job and am in a new one -- casual at the moment (part-time): Mondays and Wednesdays I work from 8am til 5.30pm...Thursdays: 8-10.30am, Friday's: 3-5.30pm and Saturdays: 8.30-11am.

Hubby works at least 12 hours a day -- from 6am to 4pm -- and he does overtime as well. Next week he'll be doing arvo shifts which is from 3pm until midnight. (only for 2 weeks though) We don't have the kids with us, only on every other weekend...only if the kids want to come over or not. (Kids being teenagers and rebellious these days, so....)

At least, I have a couple of days off and half days off -- that's when I do the housework and running errands.

My wife works in dayshift and I work in evening shift. I drop my 5 yrs son at school for half day then I goes to work. After his school, babysitter picks him up and bring him to her home for an hour. The cost is $5 Canadian per day.

Oh daycare in Minnesota, its tooooo expensive!! Here is about $600 to $900 Canadian.

Every parents are too busy in weeks!!!! Nobody perfect!!!

Doesn't your mom or grandma help you out with the babysittings? Or they charge you that much?
