Heath said:I think you misunderstand .... If it does not cost your life then turn the another cheek but if it is gonna cost your life then fight back in self defense.
Jesus said and demonstrated otherwise. He believed in turning the other cheek and let the corrupt Pharisees kill him.
Heath said:Jesus Christ was a perfect person. We are not perfect.
I quote Matthew 5:18-20 (KJV):
"18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
You're just a hypocrite, a modern Pharisee. You justify your hate through a narrow interpretation and overall poor understanding of the Scripture. Stop making actual Christians look bad.
Heath said:I am not rationalizing anything here. If you were on an airplane you would fight back. If a terrorist turned the corner with a knife toward your family, you would fight back.
I'm not Christian and don't claim to be one.
Heath said:I am a Christian and gave my life to Jesus Christ.
You are not a Christian. Understand?
Heath said:Luicifer hates me because I pray for healing of deafness and I try to do the right things in life therefore God loves me more for that and I am a real believer in self defense. You can read an excellent article at this website link.
God doesn't support audism like you do.. Or racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or anything else hypocrites like you typically engage in. The Bible confirms this quite clearly.
Heath said:
The article references Genesis 9:5-6... I didn't recall God ever ordering capital punishment, so I looked it up. Turns out, God doesn't support capital punishment, at least not according to that passage.
Genesis 9:5-6 (KJV):
"5. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
6. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."
States quite clearly that one should kill those who kill--and that killing as a form of punishment in this way is the same as murder. Therefore, if we were to follow this rule, our entire race would be extinct by now as everyone who kills should also be killed--and the effect would continue until all humans are dead.
The statement is that killing is wrong, and no reasonably intelligent person would be able to understand anything else from that passage.
Reading on, it claims that Jesus did not contradict himself or Scripture in the Sermon on the Mount. This is, indeed, correct, however if one misunderstands Scripture as you have done so completely, it is easy, thus, to misunderstand what Jesus said.
Further down in the largely incomprehensible nonsense of an article, it states that Cain was killed by God for killing Abel. This is not the case, and anyone who has actually read the story is quite clear on that detail.
That said, the main issue with the article is that it's unrelated to the topic. God never endorsed or condemned the nature of weapons, he did, however, condemn harming other people, something you endorse fully. Thus, I say to you that you are not a Christian and are, assuming the mythology is valid, an instrument of the Devil.
Addendum:
Heath said:I trust white people overwhelmingly more and that is not racist. There are some people of a different color skin I can really trust but for the most part, I prefer to be with white people. It is something that just comes natural and there is nothing wrong with wanting to be amongst our own. I am Deaf and I prefer to be with the Deaf community for many reasons, just like I prefer to be with white people for many reasons.
If you're not proud of the fact that you are deaf, you cannot under any circumstances claim to be Deaf. You say you want to be hearing, and yet you claim to be Deaf. The two things are mutually exclusive.
