I found out before I signed up for cable modem. I decided to call cable to get modem then I called AOL and told them that I am using modem and rarely use AOL browser but still using email. They gave me 10.95 per month. I am satisfied with it. ^Angel^ If you are planning to keep aol account while u have modem. Call AOL and tell them you have modem and want it the price of aol cut down. They are happy to help u out with it.

She might like you better than me, That's why she memorized your name. :(

Cheri, I gotta agree with ya, AOL sucks! they're charging me a lot too and I can't even stay online. I've called soooo many times to try to get this d*mn thing fixed but its never been fixed and I'm still getting charged the same price. I'm thinking of cancelling AOL soon and get something else. Any suggestions? I have to stay with dial-up since I'm at my auntie's house.

Just recently, they announced that they would give everyone extra stuff for free... now they're charging everyone? Boy, they contradict themselves!

 I cannot believe you fall for that. I was messing with you, ^Angel^ knew that, because she knows me that I'm a tease.

I have RR cable modem include AOL at no charge. Just pay RR price, that's it.

Cheri, I promise that u will love VP! :fingersx:

Rebel, sorry your'e having problems staying connected with AOL. Maybe you can try a different local phone number cuz traffic might be real heavy with the number your'e currently using. Are there any other local numbers AOL offers? If yes, that's something you can do on your own by going into your Account, etc to make changes.

We have had AOL for about 10 years now without too many problems; we grew with AOL. My only regret is that I didn't invest money in them 10 years ago! Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, I don't use it much but keep it cos my wife likes it because it's so familiar in it's format, etc.

Oh my AOL Broadband only charge me £15.99 per month along with AOLTalk £7.99 per month with unlimited calls , i dont have problem with it . :)

We have AOL only because my wife likes it BUT they are not our main ISP; we have DSL with SCB. Since AOL knows we are "BOOA" (Bringing Our Own Access), AOL charges us something like 14.95 a month. I am okay with that. With SBC, I use I.E. and Safari browsers. I think we are paying 29.99 for SBC High Speed Internet.

That's my point, that you still afraid to lose everything you need from AOL and you still pay too much. (total $44.94+) That's why anyone are STILL depend for AOL's need.

I paid only $29.99 on Cable 3Mbps package and I use Yahoo (for junk target) and Gmail (for family and friend) and AIM (no need pay - $0).

Oh yeah, there is no SBC DSL anymore, it's now AT&T DSL, it been change brand last Jan.
