Protesters disrespecting a Vietnam Vet who became angry hearing bad talk regarding the soldiers stationed in Iraq.

No captions, if anyone were to spare time to have it captioned.

This makes me sick seeing just how stupid those protesters are. If it hadn't been for our fine boys, we would not have the freedom to protest and express in free speech, even to go out and act like an idiot, that's their choice. But I don't have to agree with them and that's my right to choose just as the same.

It's one thing to protest against the war, but it's another to attack soldiers who were simply obeying their orders, and putting their life before us (is that the saying? oh well... I mean they risk themselves for us and their country ). These very soldiers could be against war themselves.

Disrespecting any war veteran is a disgrace to our country. MY brother served several tours in Vietnam, came home a survivor, and has suffered the after-effects all his life. Has been a recluse for many, many years, and became an alcoholic. Never judge anyone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. He is my Hero!

It's hard to hear some of the dialogue because there is a lot of wind noise in the microphone. If I have time later I will try to transcribe some of the videos (it's a whole series of them).

The woman with the megaphone is Cindy Sheehan, well-know anti-war protester, and it appears that there is a Code Pink group with her.

In the interview following the confrontation between the Vietnam veteran and the women, the women not only make accusations against the guy, they mock his weight and whiteness. There is some bad language in the video.

I'm sorry for Sheehan's loss but I think she's gone off the deep end.

One point the veteran made was that these kinds of protests don't support the troops. They see these videos overseas where they are stationed, and it's very demoralizing to them.
 
Wow, Cindy Sheehan already going overboard in protesting as she still hold the grudges ever since her son was killed in Iraq.

It is understandable about the anti war but this one she crossed the line big time.
 
Cindy Sheehan - ah yes..... that yappy lil' mouthy one. She's the one who camped out at GWB's ranch in Texas. her son was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004.

Ms. Sheehan.... I mourn for your son and his death is not forgotten but you don't know what you are doing to your son right now. You have disgraced your son. No mother of veteran would do something ever like this. If you want to protest against this war - do it on your accord with your own reason. do not use your son's death. meanwhile - please seek professional help, not Dr. Phil.
 
I support the vets but not the war. I support people's right to protest without making personal attacks on individuals.
 
Did Ms. Sheehan's son volunteer for military service? If so, she needs to seek professional help to deal with her grief at the loss of her son. Her actions lately are only serving to embarass herself and disgrace her family. I'm all for free speech and protesting but attacking another veteran is over the top.

Well said. Ms Sheehan is oviously unsuccessfully dealing with some very personal issues of her own.

If he wasn't drafted, it's likely he knew that he could have ended up getting killed. If he was drafted, he could have dodged it like a lot of people back in the 60s and the 70s.

Personally, I don't think her actions are the way to honor the vets. Some vets didn't agree with this war but they fought in it anyway.

I'd honor the vets even though I'm fairly pacifist in my politics.
 
Casey Sheehan volunteered for military service, and had reenlisted for another tour of duty.

The draft ended before he was even born.

Casey was a military hero. He volunteered for his final assignment that resulted in his death. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor posthumously.

Bravo Zulu, Army Specialist Casey Sheehan. ***salute***
