Oh, definitely. When I first saw this thread, I was like what does his anti gay stance have to do with his arrest? :roll: Then I read the article. :doh:
 
Unless someone set them up that way.

beside, there is a huge different between being for traditional marriage and being anti-gay.

anyone can be friends with gay people and even hang out with them. It's not like we are forbidden to be near them. But it doesn't mean their religious beliefs support gay marriage, even if they are homosexual themselves.
 
The DUI is horrible. Lawmakers should be held to a higher standard. I hope he loses his seat. The gay club thing needs to be confirmed first. And if so I see at least 5 possible explanations for that.

1. He was doing research
2. The guy in the car called for help/a ride home
3. He was drinking at a different bar but saw a chance to put a mark on the gay bars liquor license
4. He was at a strip joint but didn't want that on the record so he named a bar not realizing it was a gay bar.
5. He is gay but doesn't believe in legal rights for the lifestyle

Then again.....maybe he is a hypocrite

The credible news sources are reporting this as well but they are being a little more cautious in their approach. Might be a good idea for everyone.

Yeah... as if that would had made him a better person had that been the case. I don't think much of politicians who see women as sex objects.

Research? That's a good one. I'm surprised you didn't add the "but I was drunk" excuse. :lol:

Anyway, it's true that we don't know the exact circumstances involved. However, anyone in public office should know that even an appearance of wrong doing is just as bad as doing wrong. This guy has a major lack of good judgment.

Regardless of his agenda of being there, he got busted for DUI. Which is a :nono:
