I don't know if any of you have seen Animal Cops on Animal Planet channel, That show is about animal cruelty investigators whom hunt and track down animals abusers and bring them to justice, Many of those pets were neglect without food and water or poor condition, or dogfighting. They get a lot of calls a year on animal cruelty. I love that show, Last night I saw the part of the pitbullls dogs that were in the fighting ring, They showed the homemade tape of what happened during the ring. They would hit the dogs with the stick and drugged them. While watching that home made video I had tears running down my eyes. It disgusted me, how people who owns pets don't know how to show love to their own pet, but betting money is so cruel. One dog was losing in the battle, had open cut skin and punched skin tears from fighting. It break my heart. And of course the owner of the dogs were arrested, not allow to have pets anymore.

It's not only about dogfighting, But saving dogs from being near death row from being starve or being in a condition where there no place like home for the pets. I have seen a dog had a heavy chain around it's neck and that poor dog neck was horrible you could see a bad open cut all around it's neck. Good news the dog made it bad news the dog is very aggressive, because the dog was living in a poor condition. It's going to be hard for the dog to live in a loving home where there are children. I wish people would think twice before owning a pet, If you can give that pet love, then adopt a pet, If not then they have no business even owning a pet.

Discuss Please, On what you think and have you watched that show or etc. ;)

Cheri,

Yeah, I have watched some of the series before. It is sad to see the injured animals suffer thru their lives from cruel owners. I wish the owners don't treat those poor animals badly in the first place, but good thing that animal police exist to put them in justic.

I have seen an example, the part with dogs living in poor condition in the backyard in NYC, where a dog has fleas and flies buzzing around, it was really gross. They arrested the owner who owns the dog and put in justice. The dog needed a good bath and cleaning off fleas and fed him and all back to health, he was lot better than he was. I like happy endings when they are back to health, so energetic and lots of happiness, it made me smile.

I watched that show too, it one of my fave show, and It does break my heart every time I watch animals starve themselves to death or abused them etc... :tears:

I like the part where the judge asked those owners who was arrest why the pet was in that condtion, it seem that none of them could give the judge the correct answer he wanted to hear, all they do is makes lime excuess..It seem to me they were running out of excuess.... :o

I personally believe that once the pet owner has a record, they shouldn't be allowed to adopt pets anymore.... :smash:

Yes, I saw that part too, Did one of those dogs had ticks too? It was horrible. :( Yes there are a lot of happiness ending, very few not. They had to put some to sleep, or some have already been dead by the time the investigators picked it up. :(

There were many parts about animals being left out in the cold with no food and water and cleaniness, so I don't remember if other dog had the ticks too.
There were lots of A to Z cruelity to animals. :(

Yes, You are correct. there are alot from A To Z, speaking of no food and water, some were moldy water and dirty bowls where they put the food and water in. Too sad. :( And I hate the fact that some pets were chain up to their dog house or by the trees. or in a junk yard. Have you seen the one being tie up in the lot where school buses were? The owner said they were guard dogs, If so why were they tied up? Makes no sense. Ha!

Cheri and others... you have the courage to watch these shows. I cannot. It easily made me want to stab these people who harmed the animals. Or easily made me angry.

I watched this good movie, "The Corporation" (which I will make a topic about it later) and it showed several scenes of animals who suffered from Corporation's pollution plus... deformed scenes. It almost made me cry (I know it may be pathetic for a man like me to cry over that to some of you) and it really hit me hard.

I cannot believe that they dare to call themselves "humans" when they did that to these animals... Anyway, if I can keep my anger in check about animal cruelity, I would watch that show. I know that show is very good and excellent for anyone to see the bigger picture about how certain people can be very cruel to animals.

Keep it up folks.
