Campsite is not free, You have to pay for the spot. What do you expect a free parking lot where you're going to bring your sleeping bag. :giggle: Love ya too.

i chose campsite but i prefer staying in the backcountry where there are no campsite or no person. i have survived in lost in mtns twice. I THANKED to my compass and map. :)

[edit:] i refreshed my memories: firstly my friends and i were lost in winter(snow) backpacking in NC. we couldnt find a trail where snow covered.(knee depth). secondly we were lost during nasty thunderstorm in north Georgia where big trees fell down onto trails and river was flooding where we had to ford the river 15 times for two days.

they dont bother me... :) i have seen alot of animals except coyotes. my friend did hear some howlings from coyotes around my tent. we dont have wolfs in southeast of usa. i am too excited to see the black bears... i have been dying to take some pictures of the bears. i havent seen a black bear in woods since 1979. that time we saw three black bears that came to our campsite at around 5am (i never forget that moment. :) ) and damaged our boxes and coolers that my parent left outside our camper. my parent shouldnt put foods outside... oopsie...

since then i know the principle in mtns which is called "leave no trace". everyone who loves camping should know about the 'leave no trace' principles - http://www.lnt.org/programs/lnt7/. they can help you to be a better camper. :)

I'd rather not along w/DeafClimber's handy.. if he lost...

I'd rather glued and stick w/bonfire and feel safer than lost in the woods!
