Your last name is the same as from Switched at Birth?
 
Hearingaidmama- if you are legit, just carry on and try to ignore the negative posts. There have been a handful of suspicious "new members" with equally suspicious posts. This is creating an environment where every new member is scrutinized as to their credibility.
 
Have you all ever thought that maybe parents of newly diagnosed children haven't had time to aquire all the knowledge you all have about hearing loss? So we may have similiar opinions and you just chase them away for being "phony"?

Okay, understood. I've got a bad taste in my mouth from this whole forum. Don't exactly think it could be the resource I was looking for it to be. I was looking for support not nastiness. I don't think I'm going to get that here.

That depends on what kind of "support" you are looking for, LOL. There are a lot of strong opinions here, but also a lot of information if you can weed through some of the nonsense.

I'd stick around, if you can handle some of the unfortunate animosity. There are people here who can give some good insight.

After googling, apparently it is.

After posting the information to FB to prove I'm no fake, no requests, I'll take that as a hint you all are just looking for someone to pick on.
