A wonderful new about Prince Charles & Camilla

I understand your anger on Prince Charles and Camilla but it took them years to get married instead of "quickly married".

I would never forgive if Prince Charles marry Camilla real fast after his estrangle wife/wife´s death only if he still married Diana.

Princess Diana lost her Princess title after divorced from Prince Charles one year before the car accident.

They were already divorced and have their own life. Diana accept Charles´s life with Camilla and let him go which she love him dearly.

I know that Prince Charles only married Diana to get her to give him throne line. Its sad that he treat Diana and boys badly and show no love feeling etc.

Charles took the terrible new of Diana´s death very badly and it shock him totally and make him into good person and good father to 2 boys. He did ADMITTED his mistake about his marriage life with Diana during interview in the public. We (people) accepted and forgive him for his mistake. I know Diana would forgive him, too.
He turn into good person and good father to boys and would not marry Camillia until his sons give him their bless. It took boys long time to accept Camilla in their family and forgive her.

Everyone made the mistakes but it´s good that everyone admitted their mistakes. Nobody are prefect.

I guess Charles and Camilla would still getting married when Diana is still alive.

That´s all what I have in my opinion. Please dont get me wrong, I do not defend Prince Charles and Camilla but they deserve our blessing.

LONDON -- Prince Charles announced Thursday that he will marry his lover Camilla Parker Bowles, putting an official seal on a long romance that Princess Diana blamed for the breakdown of her tempestuous marriage to the heir to the throne. The announcement ruled out the possibility that she would become queen.

The Prince of Wales and Parker Bowles, both divorced, will marry on Friday, April 8, at Windsor Castle, said Clarence House, Charles' residence and office.

They will be married in a largely private civil ceremony at the palace, not in a Church of England service. "There will subsequently be a service of prayer and dedication in St. George's Chapel at which the Archbishop of Canterbury will preside," said Clarence House.

The decision on the type of service reflects the fact that both are divorcees, and that Parker Bowles' former husband is still living. In general, the Church of England, the legally established faith of the nation, disapproves of remarriage of divorced people in church.

As Britain's monarch, Prince Charles would be the supreme governor of the Church of England. Some Anglicans could oppose him holding this role as a divorcee who remarried outside the church.

Parker Bowles will use the title Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall after the marriage - but when Charles becomes king, she will not be known as Queen Camilla but as the princess consort, Clarence House said. That decision by the prince appeared to be a nod to public opinion, which has never warmed to Camilla.

The announcement received the blessing of Queen Elizabeth II, who said she was very happy that her son and Camilla Parker Bowles will marry.

Prime Minister Tony Blair also said he was "delighted."

Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, said the wedding service plans "have my strong support and are consistent with Church of England guidelines concerning remarriage."

Neither Charles nor Camilla possess the star-power of Diana, whose memory remains strong in Britain, but theirs has been a peculiarly deep love story - one that has endured time, scrutiny, and such intense criticism that Parker Bowles was once regularly insulted in the street.

Charles, 56, divorced from Diana in 1996, a year before she was killed in a Paris car crash. Camilla, 57, obtained her divorce from army officer Andrew Parker Bowles in 1995.

Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, first met Camilla at a polo match in Windsor in 1970 and over the next few years they became very close. The relationship cooled after Charles joined the Royal Navy and Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles, a long-standing admirer.

Throughout the late 1970s Charles and Camilla kept up contact and became close friends again toward the end of the decade. They remained so after Charles' 1981 marriage to Diana.

In the early days of their romance, when Parker-Bowles was still single, she reportedly told the prince: "My great-great-grandmother was your great-great-grandfather's mistress, so how about it?"

Diana blamed the friendship for the failure of her marriage to the Prince of Wales. "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded," Diana said in a 1995 TV interview.

While the saga of the disintegrating royal marriage played out publicly, Parker Bowles was often cast as the villain, the object both of invective for being a "marriage breaker" and of ridicule over tapes of intimate conversations between her and the prince that emerged in 1992.

In 1994, Prince Charles admitted in a TV documentary that he had strayed from his marriage vows, but insisted the infidelity happened only after the marriage was "irretrievably broken down, us both having tried." It was widely assumed, but never confirmed, that Camilla was the other woman.

Camilla soon became a recognizable figure and in April 1997 took a tentative step into public life when she became patron of the National Osteoporosis Society. An official photograph was released to mark the occasion. In July that year, Charles hosted a party for Camilla to celebrate her 50th birthday.

The couple appeared less frequently in public after Diana's death in August 1997, but in 1999 Camilla met Charles' sons Prince William and Prince Harry for the first time.

In recent years, she has regularly accompanied Charles to galas and become accustomed to appearing in front of the media. She now lives with Charles at his Clarence House residence in central London.

Their planned marriage is nevertheless a sensitive issue because Parker Bowles is divorced and her former husband is still alive. Charles would be the supreme governor of the Church of England if he took the throne, and some Anglicans remain opposed to remarriage of divorcees.

Last year, a poll indicated that more Britons support Prince Charles marrying Parker Bowles than oppose it. Thirty-two percent of respondents to the Populus poll said they would support Charles if he remarried, while 29 percent were opposed. Thirty-eight percent said they didn't care and 2 percent had no opinion.

I think, Zesty would love this picture. :|

After the way they treated Di, I don't think they desrve our blessing. They can get married and have a wonderful life but I don't think Prince Charles should become king, he should pass it to his oldest son William.

I've lost my respect for Prince Charles, his mother and Camilla...And I happen to agree with the other posters here! Right on! :thumb:

Like every other young girl, I was enthralled when Diana married Prince Charles. I thought Diana met a Prince Charming.

Turned out it is not Prince Charming, but Prince Cad.

I don't care about Prince Cad or Camilla. They destroyed Diana's self esteem with their deception. I dont care if Queen Elizabeth didnt want Cad to marry Camilla. Cad should have known better to treat Diana with respect, not mockery.

Hence I dont care if they are getting married. They are not getting my blessing.

I´m agree with everyone here.

I know what Prince Charles and Camilla treat Diana horrible but Prince Charles did ADMITTED his mistake after Diana´s death and become good father to his sons and respect them.

I really doesnt care either they are married or not but it´s good that Charles respect boys wish until he has his sons´s blessing for his marriage with Camilla. ***strugg***

:gpost: ...Well said there Meggie! :applause:

Thanks Angel :)

I have always admired Diana with GREAT respect. She rose above all that shit and blossomed finally, only to have it ended too soon. It is a such tragedy that we lost a such beautiful, inspirational, caring and loving woman. I really feel for William and Harry- they have suffered so much, especially Harry.

I can see that William will never be like his dad so that is a good thing! I can see William as a sensitive, progressive, and caring King.

Dont get me wrong, I saw Diana real life 3 times and love her for that. She´s soooo lovely and have beautiful personatily. I never never never forget what I saw her in real life.

I know what you are saying about "after death" but his character got me wondering because of my father-in-law.

He´s terrible and cold-heart man like Prince Charles but his character is not changed after my mother-in-law´s death in 1996. Their 50th wedding anniversary will be on this April 2005. All what he do is get a new girlfriend real fast few weeks after death of my mother-in-law and refuse admit how bad person he is etc. etc. etc. Its long story to add here. We (4) got the message that he has no interesting to do anything with us and tried to tight the family together but think himself so we accept what he is and decide to break our contact with him in 1997. We saw him at shopping for a first time at 2 weeks ago. He do as we are stranger to him. :madfawk: We saw him sometimes in town during previous months. That´s why I admire Prince Charles to change into good person and good father to his sons after death of their beloved mother. I can image what´s happened to 2 sons if Prince Charles´s character still is unchanged? Awful because boys love their mother toooo much but Charles tried everything his best to be good father to them. That´s what I applause him for that.

Anyway, I think Prince Charles will pass his throne to Prince William because we all know Prince William is a good King of England.

I understand Leibling I do but still he had all those times to even face the things he did to her while she was still alive...To be honest with you, part of me feels that he did this for a reason after seeing how people would look up to him after her death...

My co-worker told me few minutes ago what she heard from radio that Prince Charles and Camilla will getting married on 8th April 2005.

Wonderful news, isnt it?

What do you think?

What is "wonderful" about it? Two fornicating adulterers marrying each other. Well, I guess they deserve each other. I guess the good news is that they are too old to have children. I can't imagine what that poor baby would look like.

Are The british stupid or what?

Well Prince charles is getting married again. Why didnt Camilla rejected charles? because hes a murderer!! He killed ex wife diana. Dont give me that balony he didnt cause hes just like O.J Simpson. He did it cause diana was gonna take his money and his kids sooner or later. Why hasnt O.J Simpson found another girl huh? Why hasnt mike tyson remarried? I think Charles married Diana just to have a heir, but he cheated on her so he really didn't love her. He just "used" her to have kids.....come to think of it, Camilia was older so she was probably too old to have kids at the time.

I never cared for the Royal Family either....they treated Diana like dirt. Diana is really a "Queen" and well-deserved that title, not Elizabeth or any of the others...or even ugly Camilia.

Camilla cannot be queen whether Charles is alive or not. if Charles was assassinated, William will take over. William is first in the line.

You really need to check facts. Ive said that 100,000 times already, Raven but will say it once again. CHECK THE FACTS before you spew out your far fetched opinions.
