A Prank that gone bad....

It's fakie alright... :D

but if it was real.. then that would be stupid to pull such..

There is nothing wrong with it. The man finally taught a prankster a lesson. Never mess with normal people....

The gun was a fake? From the looks of it on the video clip, the gun looked so real.

yeah ever heard of blanks?

Yes but how do you know that it is a fake gun? I am not an expert with guns because I don't own one or even want to own one.

Interesting! But it is possible that it is gun designed for "blank bullets". It is the way how the smoke comes out. If it is real gun, you should be able to see fire coming out sideways, but this one no sight of fire, little too much smoke coming out sideways. I have been around guns alot in my early life and I know what it looks like.
Generally these guns with "blank bullet" is used for sports where you can fire to start the race. That kind of gun, can't hurt nobody comparing to real gun with real bullets.

Mookie,

You think the guy who fired the gun consider a normal person?

It doesn't matter if the video is fake nor the gun, for all that matters. The point is the video is leading people to believe that if this happened to you, this is what you should have done.

Oh my goodness, I will never do that...now there's something else I need to teach my children here... :ugh2:

Sure, but it´s bad example for everyone. The teenagers/children "might" copy it.

The whole thing is obviously a set up. There is no one in the "mailbox" at the time the man shoots into it.

BTW, people can be killed by blanks used improperly.

[Jon-Erik] Hexum is most famous not due to any of his roles but rather the bizarre nature of his death. Hexum died after shooting himself in the head with a prop gun loaded with blanks on the set of the CBS series Cover Up, a program about a pair of fashion photographers/models who were actually secret agents. Hexum, who played a weapons expert, was said to constantly be playing with the guns as if they were toys and once angered Jennifer O'Neill so much that she chastised him on-set for his carelessness. [3]

On October 12, 1984, after finishing a scene in which he fired several blank rounds from a .44 Magnum revolver, Hexum jokingly put the gun up to his temple and sarcastically said,

"Let's see if I've got one for me."
Hexum apparently did not realize that blanks use paper or plastic wadding to seal gun powder into the shell, and that this wadding is propelled out of the barrel of the gun with enough force to cause severe injury or death if the weapon is fired at point-blank range. The paper wadding in the blank that Hexum discharged struck him in the temple with enough force to propel a quarter-sized piece of his skull into his brain. According to a crew member on the set:

"John smiled and pulled the trigger. There was a loud bang and a bright flash, then black smoke. Jon screamed in agony, then looked kind of amazed as he slumped back onto the bed with blood streaming from a severe head wound. It was horrible."

Hexum's assistant ran to him and wrapped his head in a towel. An ambulance was called, but before it could arrive, Hexum slipped into a coma, prompting crew members to carry him to one of the studio's station wagons and drive him to Beverly Hills Medical Center. Hexum went into surgery as his family and girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Daily, were notified of his condition. Initially he was listed as being in "serious" condition, but after five hours of surgery, doctors changed the condition to "critical." Hexum was given a feeding tube and respirator, and lingered for six days before doctors pronounced him brain dead. With his mother's permission, Hexum was flown to Las Vegas and taken off life support so that his organs could be donated.

If I was that person and had a gun.. I would NOT have though of shooting someone inside because there is no reason to pull out gun and shoot when I am not attacked. He was not attacked. It is just another fake stupid prank video :)

I would simply call the police unless this person pop up and says excuse me don't get mad this is candid camera or or "insert your tv show name"

well this person you mentioned which died from blank gun was too close to temple. but this video is kinda different.. I would say it is fake because there is no bullet hole (you said no one is inside that mail box) and the video has audio should you should be hearing richioeting (arrg sp?) sound if the mail box is steel.

And that video looks it was taken in other country. I doubt we would do that here in USA!

Anyway, if you read some of comments at that site where the videos are.. I noticed that it was made in Buenos Aires
That was great made me remeber the first time [ +1 interesting ]
Yes this is a commercial that is for the Argentinean agency Ogilvy & Mather, of Buenos Aires. and if you think it's real think about this; 1. Would the victim's friends really stand by and whatch this. 2. Would they edit the video to show the emphazie of what happened by changing the music 3. would they publish this on the web so everyone can see the outcome of this? It's clearly an ad, and if i must say so my self its a dam good one, the first time I it I must have s**t myself it was so funny. (also about how its a fake if you know something about guns you know it was toy) Ah but very skillfuly made and the point of this clip was to surpise you and make you laugh, so enjoy it and don't post such crude remarks

I agree it is fake
This is made up of fake video. As you closely notice no actual bullet slug came off the gunners gun indicating a toy gun being used. Secondly is the shooter's face while he is doing the shot (acting). Lastly, not single bullet punch through the mail box.
