Hello all! :)

I'm a new member of forum all.deaf.com :) I'm Agnes from northern Poland. My real polish name is Agnieszka, but local people say me 'Aga' :) I don't hear since birth. I go to High School for deaf people in Poznan (in english language -> Posen). I love making friends with deaf people all over the world. Thanks to them I know english better :)

I am polish too, but I am living in Canada for over 20 years now. I too just joined this fantastic site, and I have so many QQQ I don't know where to start.

I am very impressed with your English- how did you learn it? At school? or privately?

I will be very very interested in your opinion about differences in situation of deaf peple between Poland and rest of the world.

Hello Fuzzy,
I know this topic is old so I want to tell you that I have learnt English at school. I already speak English for 5 years. I enjoy learning English :) With polish regards from Agnessa ;-)

Awesome! I love that we have someone from Poland posting here, especially since my Husband's family is Polish! My children calls their Grandparents [Hubby's parents] Babcia and Dzia Dzia - only they kinda came up with their own way of spelling Babcia to Bushia because no one knew how to spell it correctly since my hubby's Dad's parents had both died a long time ago.

I also have a hearing friend who came from Poland at the age of ten. Her name is Alicja but she goes by Alice. :]

I'd love to learn some Polish words if you wouldn't mind teaching me. :]
