A Gun Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

Here is what Missouri does...
Take CC class with live fire range
Take paperwork to sheriff office, fill out forms, pay $100 and get fingerprinted.
Wait til you get letter in mail and go pick up permit. (45 days max wait)

My wife is in the county , she did the same but got hers within a week ( not many applicants out that way )

Being I have no record or anything, I should get mine fairly fast as well.

They do not put photos on the permits any more, nor do they put the CCW on your drivers license anymore either... so the CCW is not in the system with the DL any longer.

We never had CCW on our drivers license. We still have photos on our CCW, which looks similar to drivers license style.

No photos on the CCW permits? Why not? How would you be identified with it?
 
My first permit was a passport photo glued to a piece of paper and hand written. My second I got down at the DMV and was just like a drivers license but said Concealed firearms permit (really nice). My third was typed out on a typewriter with no photo and I was told I could not laminate it! I got them all back in a couple of weeks after the paperwork was filled out.

We are told to hand it with our DL, the addresses must match.
Sounds odd, but thats the way it is here and its honored in most of the states (37) I believe.

I guess they're assuming all CCW holders drive. :giggle:

That does sound odd about matching addresses.

Our gun range requires showing our CCW permit (with photo) plus a second picture ID so they can compare photos.
 
well here, you have XX amount of days to change address when you move on the permit, or name changes if married...ect.. so the permit should match the drivers license at all times after that small time frame. I only seen my wifes permit briefly so Ill explain more once I get mine and get a good look at it.
I believe the address change is within 7 days of moving, name changes and whatever else has 30 days from what Im reading now and told in the CCW class
 
Deputies: Woman shoots and kills would-be Craigslist robber

AIKEN, S.C. -- Authorities say a man trying to rob a couple who thought they were going to buy a car off Craigslist has been shot and killed.

Aiken County deputies said in a news release that officers are looking for the second robber after he ran away following the shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say the would-be robbers pulled out a gun and demanded money when they met the couple at an Aiken gas station where they planned to buy a car listed on the Internet site.

Deputies say while the gun was pointed at the man, his girlfriend pulled her own weapon and shot at the robbers.

Coroner Tim Carlton says 23-year-old Frank Frazier Jr. died at the scene of the shooting.

The couple was not hurt. Deputies continue to investigate.

I picked up my permit last week, same day my son got out of the hospital... walked in signed the paper and they printed it right up and out the door.
 
You got gunman shooting people in abortion clinic at this moment in time
 
Illegal ones. I never realise America have that..we have abortion clinic run by docs.and there one specialised one in London for over 28weeks and that only happen once or twice in a years others done in hospital

Yes, he looks to be another crazed person who achieved nothing good at all. Horrible.
