2003 Space shuttle diaster

Back in 1986, when my wife was working for Department of Defense and her job was Quality Control Inspection on any aerospace that including space shuttle parts to make sure that all parts are not defective or imperfection. In that one week before the space shuttle was exploded and she quit her job due to stress out from her job and my mother's infere our marriage that time  :jaw: !!!!!!

I still remember this vividly from the 1986 Challenger explosion when I was 9 years old in classroom when it aired on TV.

R.I.P Heroes Challenger and Columbia

This one that I never forget :(

i won't forget the challenger in 1986 i was watching it explode i was shocked

i didn't forget 2003 columbia disaster i woke up and saw the tv and saw few white streaks across the sky and i realized it was the day columbia was due to arrive but it blew up on the way.

rest in peace the crews of challenger and columbia

Very sad. I have pictures of discovery and coloumbia when they landed at the AFB when I worked there. Never forgot 86, worst feeling and everyone was quiet because one of the astrount's nephew was with us when it happened. I remember he was shocked and disbelieve of what was happened.

I remember both of them. I was at Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the Challenger lift-off. Very Chilling!!! I was also at the dedication for the school for Christa McAulliff. The one in 2003, I was here in Missouri and watch in horror the television.

I remember reading about Columbia breaking up in the news in Gracies at RIT.

I was on the far right side of Gracies when you stand at the windows facing the food area. I remember it just like I was there yesterday. Sad.

I don't remember where I was when the Columbia broke up in the air. However, I do remember the 9-11 attacks at work and a couple things. I will never forget the shock on my guy's face when he walked in the door at the very time they replayed the second plane flying into the twin towers. He heard about it but never saw TV til that very moment. Horrible. Sorry off topic.

Back to the shuttles.....RIP astronuts in both shuttles.

Space Shuttle Columbia was one of the oldest shuttle fleets

and it is sad to see columbia gone i know
